NOLLE PROSEQUI-(UNWILLING TO PURSUE)

September 3rd, 2010 by Cindy

GOOD, BECAUSE I WAS MORE THAN WILLING TO PURSUE MALICIOUS PROSECUTION CHARGES AGAINST THE  PROSECUTOR. And the State of CT will be looking into this prevailing wage issue on the West Main St streetscape where I believe the town IS paying prevailing wage but at the LABORERS RATE NOT THE MASONRY RATE.

MORE BAD NEWS FOR THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT: BRODACH BUILDERS SUES CHESHIRE OVER SEWERS. Don’t forget that Norton School boiler fiasco. GOOD!!

The town has got to stop PICKING whom they like and whom they don’t and then trying to make them miserable. Well maybe the tables are turning now. ITS YOUR TURN. WANT TO KEEP PLAYING GAMES CHESHIRE POLICE DEPARTMENT?? FINE WITH ME!!!

One important consideration is that a nolle pros is the equivalent of a dismissal for purposes of expungement and sealing.

You can’t even imagine how angry and upset I am right now. Besides the fact my step dad is in a coma in a Bridgeport CT hospital and I just came home Thursday to see him. I am staying for a week. I am shaking I am so angry. This town of Cheshire, this waste of time police department is LEGALLY FINISHED!!! I am meeting with the Cheshire CT Town Manager next week to discuss my damages. NO LICENSE FOR NEARLY TWO MONTHS, I HAD TO WALK IN 90 DEGREE HEAT EVERY DAY, BUM RIDES, PEOPLE WERE PUT OUT OF THEIR ROUTINE AND HAD TO ADJUST THEIR WORK SCHEDULES. FOR WHAT? “OH I DID NOT HEAR MOST OF WHAT YOU SAID” OH I SAW (IN THE DARK) A BLACK TOYOTA COROLLA’S CAR TIRES GO OVER THE YELLOW LINE” (FROM 2000 FEET AWAY)!!! YEAH RIGHT!!! LYING LYING LYING VINDICTIVE BASTARDS.  I AM BRINGING YOU PEOPLE UP ON CHARGES. I WILL POUND AND POUND AND POUND UNTIL I GET WHAT I WANT AND I WILL BELIEVE ME. I WON’T STOP. WHAT A JOKE! .

REMINDER HICK TIT TURD PD-LYING ON A POLICE REPORT IS A FELONY AND YOU WILL BE BROUGHT UP ON CHARGES MARK MY WORD!!!

OH WANT A LAUGH- READ THIS:

FROM THE “POLICE TRAINING” SECTION ON THE CHESHIRE POLICE DEPARTMENT WEBSITE:

Failure to properly train police officers can lead to poor decisions by officers and may result in civil law suits, which directly affect our entire community.

COULDN’T HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF.

Municipal Gas Usage

September 1st, 2010 by Cindy

UPDATE ON HURRICANE EARL

ATTN TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT–The Local Resident is SUING and will be releasing the information to the ENTIRE PRESS CORP SOON!!!

This is the municipal gas usage from June and July 2010 for the Cheshire CT Police Dept. I decided not to scan the documents, it was way too confusing to try to read, besides the June and July 2009 printouts were from the God-awful (I am glad they got rid of it) dot matrix printer which came out too light anyway. I asked if “Super Unleaded” was being used because that is what was shown on the Dot Matrix printouts. I was told the cars used “Regular Unleaded”

Click HERE for Michigan State Police Pursuit Car Test.

Now for June and July 2010 the cost of gasoline to the town was APPROXIMATELY $2.37 per gallon NOT THE 0.514 cents per gallon listed on the printouts. I was told the department could not figure out how to change the price, so the total cost per gallon was based on the 0.514 cents per gallon NOT THE $2.37 cents. You can do the math.

The request was for each vehicle. I will try to summarize. Now mind you, sometimes, each individual vehicle would gas up MORE than once a day. Most times, NOT ALL, the vehicle was filled up twice a day. A few times just once and on a few occasions, THREE times a day.

Again, I will summarize. For June 2010 the sheet lists 25 cars. There were 27,333 miles driven for the month of June which has 30 calendar days. The TOTAL amount of gallons expended FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT was 2,621.0. If you times that amount by $2.37 cents or even $2.30 cents, you can come up with the total cost. Now there are other departments that used the Police Department gas pumps for June 2010. They were (what looks like ) “ACO” which used 44.8 gallons; the Senior Bus which used 71.0 gallons and Chesprocott which used 122.1 gallons for a total amount of gallons used in JUNE 2010 of 2,858.9.

Now in July, 2010, which of course has an extra day, there were 25 cars on the sheet. I was not given the total miles, but the total amount of gallons used FOR THE POLICE DEPT was 2,758.000 at an approximate pump cost of $2.37 per gallon.

Unfortunately, I was given the wrong information regarding my court date. which I never saw posted on the Judicial website.

The letter my spouse read me was for another family member who received an infraction ticket in Hamden. God, they are getting worse than Cheshire. And FYI Mr. Officer-a yellow light means CLEAR THE INTERSECTION not STOP!! If you are halfway through when the light changes to yellow or another car is too close to brake safely you are allowed to CLEAR THE INTERSECTION.  The family member got the date changed to October 18 I can’t remember exactly. It was originally Sept 14 but there was a conflict.

My status since June 3, 2010 is still “TO BE SCHEDULED” and hopefully it was STAY THAT WAY. I had a nice talk with the Centralized Infractions Bureau regarding this ticket. I told them the Assistant DMV Commissioner had CLEARED MY RECORD-”NO VIOLATIONS FOUND” “NOTHING PENDING” That license withdrawal for medical reasons WAS ALSO REMOVED. NO POINTS., NO NOTHING-ZIP!! THANK YOU!!

FROM GOOGLE ANSWERS & CT DMV: “WHAT DOES A YELLOW TRAFFIC SIGNAL MEAN”?

A yellow light means “clear the intersection.” So, use your best judgment on how to do that.

HELLO!! MR. POLICEMAN-GO BACK TO DRIVING CLASS!!!

Sadly, my stepdad fell a few days ago while going to the mailbox and hit his head. He started bleeding inside his brain and this has caused him to literally be in a semi-conscious state. He recognizes no one and can only mumble. He can not eat or drink. He is on an IV. So I am taking a few days to come to see him. I planned on coming home for the traffic court date anyway when I found out about this unfortunate incident. My stepdad resides in the Bridgeport area so he is in a Bridgeport Hospital (I will not say which one for Hipaa reasons or give his name). He will have to go to a nursing home, probably for good. My stepdad was very active, he was a mailman for nearly 30 years. He was a Marine and served in WW2 in the Pacific. He was a great guy and I always thought of him as my dad. I always called him “papa” my kids did too. We are heartbroken over this and pray he can come out of it.

Also, I did want to run this great mini documentary if you will, on Pleasure Beach in Bridgeport. As most of you know who have been reading this blog for many years, I have featured the demise of Pleasure Beach many times. This is such a sad reminder to the people of Bridgeport, especially those who remember Bridgeport in her prime and Pleasure Beach at its best. For so many many years now, the people of Bridgeport have had to take it on the chin and see a once proud city deteriorate. NO THANKS TO HARTFORD. We lost Pleasure Beach, CONNECTICUT’S ONLY NATURAL SAND BEACHFRONT and 20 years ago, we nearly lost the University of Bridgeport. The city could not afford to keep this school going, so in a major blow, they had to sell their esteemed law school. Quinnipiac University is now its home. This school nearly closed and no matter what people think of the Unification Church, THOSE PEOPLE SAVED THIS UNIVERSITY FROM BECOMING YET ANOTHER PLEASURE BEACH. Now I understand the school has new owners. And I am happy to say that enrollment is up at UB. My daughter is enjoying her classes there. She is safe. She knows the reality of the area sadly. She sees that it looks run down. And even though some of the buildings on the UB campus need updating badly, the school is alive and it is trying to come back-and IT WILL. When I brought my “mom” down there a few week ago and she saw all the people on campus she felt good. I felt good. Sadly, most of the old restaurants and food stands we went to years ago are boarded up and abandoned, but I feel happy knowing there is still a breath of life being put into that areas lungs. They have a long way to go, but hopefully, whomever becomes the new Governor of Connecticut WILL STOP IGNORING THIS CITY. It really hurts to see how money is being spent and how some resent when Bridgeport gets anything from this state. WHY?? Bridgeport nurtured and supported so many people in the area for many many years and you resent the city getting some help? I also hope the City gets an administration that cares a bit more than what is going on now.

That is all for now.

UPDATE ON YANKEE GAS PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION:

STILL TRYING TO SCAN THE GAS USAGE DOCUMENTS. DEFINITELY ON WEDNESDAY. SORRY FOR THE DELAY.

ALSO: THIS IS DEDICATED TO MY DAUGHTER CINDY–YOU BECOME UNIVERSITY OF CHESHIRE OOPS YEAH RIGHT–YOU BECOME UNIVERSITY OF BRIDGEPORT!!! MY MOM, MY COUSIN, MY BROTHER AND NOW MY DAUGHTER. WE ARE ALL PROUD OF YOU.

I WILL BE POSTING THAT POLICE MUNICIPAL GAS USAGE ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 31st I HAVE HAD A BUSY SCHEDULE BESIDES TRAVELING BACK AND FORTH WHICH I WILL NOT BE DOING AFTER MID SEPTEMBER.  I AM SORRY I COULD NOT SCAN THESE IN ON MONDAY. I GOT REALLY BUSY BUT  STAY TUNED.

ALSO: HERE IS AN INTERESTING STORY ON “GLASS ROADS’ YES BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THERE IS AN IDEA TO PAVE ROADS USING GLASS.

UPDATE: My spouse will be contacting the town of Cheshire CT and asking to see certain documents we know they don’t have (because I asked for them in the past) and then another FOI complaint will be lodged. Also, there will be no compromise with the Ombudsman. My spouse wants the Officer arrested for confiscating documents in violation of the SEARCH AND SEIZURE CLAUSE OF THE FOURTH AMENDMENT TO THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.

Also we hope to have Federal funding cut off to the West Main Street project and the bridge project on West Johnson Avenue and any future projects this town tries to get money for from the State or the Government.

The town of Cheshire knows how all of this can be stopped-a phone call and a pen.

ALSO: Back by popular demand: CAK’S Photos from Flickr. Sorry some of the photos are scanned sideways.  Prints are available. Click HERE

I just received this reply via fax that my spouse sent to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission regarding the inability if you will of the Town of Cheshire CT to come up with a  State Statute that allows the police to confiscate and hold onto and drive around with  a persons  auto registration and insurance card.

Hey pal, guess what?? I AM hearing voices now: The ACLU, The Attorney General’s Office and now the Freedom of Information Commission. You will be hearing them also REAL SOON IN PERSON!!!

Click on the document to enlarge.

Let’s see how good you are at U.S. History. My minor in college was U.S. History. Of course I came from trailer trash so it is amazing I was able to get anywhere in life. But, I took the test and scored 100 on guessing the correct dates in history. I am REALLY good at that for some reason. Dates seem to stick in my head. It took me several tries to match events in chronological order. Hopefully you will get it on the first try. Some of you are so old you probably lived through this history so you will be cheating. Whatever.

Click HERE for “Today in U.S. History.

Also, my spouse contacted me and told me he received a letter from the CT Superior Court regarding my infraction ticket for driving over the yellow line. GEEZ can these people get a life?? The court date is Sept. 14th in Meriden so I will HAVE TO RETURN. DAMN!! I knew it. Better to get it over with now I guess instead of waiting till winter. It is odd though, because I have been checking the Judicial website and nothing shows up. Maybe they don’t update it anymore, I don’t know. I am sure the Cheshire Police Department knows when I have to go to court!!!

Oh, I found my hamster so I can scan those gas usage documents. I will do it this Wednesday night.

GOODBYE FOR NOW.

I am  having problems posting the Cheshire CT municipal gas usage because my pet hamster ran out of my trailer so I have no electricity!!! Anyway, here is an interesting article for all of you trailer loving people out there.

August 24:2010-I will be posting the Cheshire CT Police Dept. Municipal vehicle gas usage for June and July 10. June and July 09 are too light because of the dot matrix printer that was used. Also, my suspicions were confirmed. Apparently, the Town of Cheshire has decided to ban some town departments from accessing certain websites, mine and TWL included. I understand apparently the Police Department still has access. Well something like this must be true because I banned the Town of Cheshire’s IP address and if they could not access from their end, I would not see an increase in the figure I had a few months ago when I banned them after the license issue. I see several attempts from Monday, August. 23 to access the site. I mean let’s face it, it is pretty scary when you have a police department monitoring blogs.

HERE IS AN ARTICLE THAT TALKS ABOUT MUNICIPALITIES ALLOWING SOME EMPLOYEES TO ACCESS CERTAIN WEBSITES WHILE OTHERS MAY NOT. MY ATTITUDE-EVERYONE OR NO-ONE.

August 23, 2010: I have been blogging USING MY NAME on Tim White’s blog regarding the unemployment figures. Then of course, a moron WHO REMAINED ANONYMOUS has to make moronic comments like how many voices do I hear in different states or something to that matter.

Let me ask you something moron: HOW MANY VOICES DID YOU HEAR SCREAMING IN JULY OF 2007? OR WERE THOSE SCREAMS JUST IN YOUR HEAD??? YOU PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A MAN!!!

Of course I listed all of my properties WHICH I OWN THAT CAN BE FOUND ON THE INTERNET!!!

Here is an excerpt from an interview  from April 2010 with author Brian McDonald who wrote the book: “In the Middle of the Night.”

Interesting observation halfway into the interview regarding the motive for the crime.

August 22, 2010: There is an interesting article in the Meriden CT Record Journal about a former Town Council member whose e-mail was hacked. Although I did not receive the “hurt in Wales please send money” hack email, I did receive a Cialis email with this person’s name as the sender. As I stated previously I realized this person’s email had been hacked. The person had Yahoo. I did for a while but canceled it. Yahoo is VERY EASY to hack. You click on “change password” But in order to do that, you must know WHERE the person resides and SOMETHING ELSE THAT IS PERSONAL. VERY SUSPECT because it is not about hacking code. There are people who have TOO MUCH TIME ON THEIR HANDS and I don’t think it was some random hacker but that is my opinion.

Also, who is driving a municipal vehicle to Westbrook CT just about every day?? FESS UP!!!

YET ANOTHER INSTALLMENT OF “WHAT WOULD YOU DO?”

You KNOW what I would do in all these situations–GET INVOLVED. I taught my children that also. In fact, a few days ago, my daughter came home and told me she saw an elderly woman sitting in a car alone in front of the Cheshire CT library. My daughter said it appeared the woman was slumped over. I asked her what should she do? She called the police. They responded right away. My daughter called back a few minutes later to check. The police said the car was gone. You know what?? BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE?? IGNORED IT?? PROBABLY!!!

Friday,August 20, 2010: I did take some photos of really RUSTED FIRE HYDRANTS on LANCASTER WAY, JARVIS NEAR LANCASTER, MOSS FARMS NEAR DEVONWOOD DR.

THE HYDRANT ON LANCASTER NEAR THE CORNER OF JARVIS STREET IS ALMOST ENTIRELY RUSTED THROUGH, THAT IS PHOTO NUMBER THREE. THE FIRST PHOTO IS THE ONE ACROSS FROM MY HOME, THE SECOND ON UPPER LANCASTER AND THE REAL RUSTED ONE IS ALSO ON LANCASTER NEAR JARVIS STREET. THE FOURTH IS ON THE CORNER OF DEVONWOOD AND MOSS FARMS. THE FIFTH PHOTO IS ON JARVIS STREET ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE BEFORE THE JAIL.

I DID STOP BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THEY SAID EITHER PUBLIC WORKS OR I HEARD THE REGIONAL WATER AUTHORITY PAINTS THE HYDRANTS. I SAW A PW TRUCK THE PERSON SAID REGIONAL WATER AUTHORITY PAINTS THEM. OH NO!! I SHOULD NOT HAVE MENTIONED THAT A PW EMPLOYEE SPOKE TO ME NOW THEY PROBABLY WILL BE OUT OF A JOB!!! THEN AGAIN, THEY MAY BE ONE OF THE DEPARTMENTS THAT IS BANNED FROM ACCESSING UTH AND TWL.  CAN SOME STILL ACCESS AND NOT OTHERS?? I HOPE NOT. NO ONE OR EVERYONE. TALK ABOUT CENSORSHIP.

From what I understand, if the Regional Water Authority paints the hydrants, they charge the town. So, maybe over a certain period of time, the really rusted through hydrants can be painted. If the town goes on Rt 10 and Jarvis, the corner there near the jail they can see what a maintained hydrant in perfect condition looks like. The paint I am told is chrome yellow and according to town ordinance MUST be painted that color.

Also, a reader sent me a photo  THAT DID NOT COME OUT UNFORTUNATELY, of that gas line work being done on RT 68 in Yalesville. I don’t think he wanted to take the photo of the STATE POLICE OFFICER that was directing traffic (NOT THE LOCAL POLICE), so he took a photo of the STATE POLICE CRUISER!!! WHY?? WHY DOES THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT INSIST ON HAVING LOCAL POLICE STAND ON RT 10 A STATE ROAD AND DIRECT TRAFFIC WHEN WALLINGFORD HAS THE STATE POLICE DO IT??

Remember, even though a utility is paying the extra duty, that money goes towards that officers pension THAT YOU THE TAXPAYER IN CHESHIRE PAY FOR!! At least with the State Police, the ENTIRE STATE PAYS, NOT JUST ONE MUNICIPALITY!!! WAKE UP!!!

Now the entire saga at this police department in Cheshire CT has come into focus. I sort of knew what had transpired because the Town of Cheshire is VERY PREDICTABLE- they do everything quietly. They do not like issues brought out into the open-and if they are they will quietly and covertly try to take care of the PROBLEM. Well, the PROBLEM may have been taken care of-but from I heard from a source on Thursday, a problem from the past may have thrown themselves into the  who will be the next police chief ring.

I will scan as many of the gas usage reports from the Police Department before I leave. I will be returning probably shortly to address that ticket issue that has remained up in the air since June 3!!!! I am ready.  I wish I knew something so I could plan, but what can I tell you. I will live with it.

Special Request: Featured Video: The Ramones: “I Just Want To Have Something To Do” (or what the Cheshire Police Department will be singing after I leave). I am sure they will be singing something else.

More later.

UPDATE: AUGUST 19, 2010: I WAS DRIVING ON WEST MAIN ST CHESHIRE CT AROUND 2:45 p.m AND WENT BY THE WEST MAIN ST SIDEWALK PROJECT. I SAW A WORKER USING THAT HAMMER TO CRACK OPEN THE PAVEMENT. HE WAS WEARING A MASK!!!

YEA!!!

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?? GAY COUPLES REFUSED SERVICE AT A RESTAURANT.

IN THE PROGRAM IT WAS NOTED THAT 38 STATES HAVE LAWS WHERE SAME SEX COUPLES CAN BE REFUSED SERVICE. THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS:Alaska Arizona Texas Utah Oklahoma Idaho Wyoming S.Dakota Nebraska Montana Kansas Louisiana Arkansas Missouri Mississippi Alabama Tennessee S Carolina N Carolina Kentucky Florida Georgia Virgina Ohio Pennsylvania Indiana Michigan.

You notice one of the states in this list is Kansas.  I am sure around the college towns or larger population areas the sexual orientation would probably not be a problem.  But you might have a problem in a rural area-MAYBE NOT I don’t know. People from Kansas are either a or b-they like you and accept you or they don’t. Plain and simple. They judge you by how you are as a person, your character.

I remember years ago there was a restaurant in Bridgeport, CT called “Bloodroot.” It was a real good restaurant, they served organic food and was owned and operated by two lesbians. They had gay and lesbian calendars, art work, photography. NO ONE CARED. We went there to eat and many of the clientele were straight. I used to go there a lot with people from the paper. No one bothered the restaurant or felt threatened. It was just a restaurant. What if you went in there and were refused service because you were straight? I remember they used to have “women only” nights which was fine with me.

Remember the saying  from my old friend Barbara S: “Money to money and shit to the dummy.”

AUGUST 18,2010-I WILL BE POSTING SOME OF THE POLICE CAR GAS USAGE. UNFORTUNATELY AS I STATED PREVIOUSLY, THE DOT MATRIX PRINTOUTS ARE TOO LIGHT TO SEE-BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT MANY OF THESE PATROL CARS ARE GETTING 8 to 9 MPG BECAUSE THEY ARE IDLING. IT IS BETTER TO DRIVE AROUND. ALSO, IT IS POSSIBLE TO ADJUST THE IGNITION TIMING BUT ON NEWER CARS IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT BECAUSE OF THE COMPUTER IN THE CAR. I ASKED THE CHIEF OF POLICE IN CHESHIRE CT ABOUT THE USE OF SUPER UNLEADED AND WHETHER REGULAR UNLEADED CAN BE USED. HE SAID THE DEPT. USES MID GRADE. ACTUALLY, AFTER RESEARCHING AND ASKING SOME PEOPLE, IT WOULD BE BETTER BELIEVE IT OR NOT TO USE SUPER UNLEADED AS FAR AS ENGINE WEAR AND TEAR GOES.I KNOW THE CHIEF SAID THE DEPT IS NOT BUYING FORD CROWN VICS ANYMORE BECAUSE I GUESS THEY ARE  NOT MAKING THEM. IT IS DODGE AND CHEVY NOW.

ALSO: Boy, I could have cut it with a knife on Tuesday night when my spouse and I went to the Police, Fire, WPCA and several other departments Capital Budget hearing. “OH HURRY UP” when I asked to speak. My spouse was upset over someones attitude. You try to show up and offer constructive criticism and in part HAS BEEN TAKEN and put into effect. The PD doesn’t get cars every year-they drive what they have. And I am tired of hearing that old story about the tire falling off the car. ATTENTION: PATCH THAT HOLE I ALMOST FELL IN AT THE POLICE DEPT PARKING LOT WILL YOU??

But then again, it was Officer Sexy so they should get him a new car immediately!!! Really though, hey I was driving on the CT Turnpike years ago when the seat I was in FELL THROUGH THE FLOOR!!. I was dragging my behind on the pavement and it was snowing to top it off!! My dad just took a steel plate and welded in onto the bottom beneath the driver seat and presto–good to go!!!

What input do some people who run this town want?? Only criticize the departments THEY DON’T LIKE (i.e. the Board of Education and for some people-the Fire Department??

Worried about the cost of a new fire engine?? Consider this: $614,000 in overtime times two-would have PAID FOR  A NEW FIRE TRUCK CASH!!! NO CNR FUND (BORROWING) NO NOTHING. CHANGE YOUR PRIORITIES!!!!

I don’t believe it is because of being shorthanded-it is poor planning (scheduling). I believe a lot of the overtime at the PD was because of swapping shifts!! Plan ahead for this because you know it is going to happen-it is not as if this were the first time EVER this was done.

Someone doesn’t want any drama for the next few months-HELLO!! DON’T START IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!

Oh when I DO FINALLY GO TO COURT AFTER WAITING FOR THREE MONTHS FOR AN INFRACTION TICKET (CAR TIRE SUPPOSEDLY WENT ON THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINE) I AM ASKING FOR A TRIAL!! THE COURT ASKED ME TO SEND “ADDITIONAL INFORMATION” I DID. I SENT PHOTOS, STATEMENTS, ETC. NO DICE-WELL NOW PAY THE PRICE. EVERY 42 SECONDS IN THE UNITED STATES, A PERSON IS KILLED BY A DRUNK DRIVER!!! BUT I WHO HAVE NEVER HARMED ANYONE IN A MOTOR VEHICLE, DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE EVER AND HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD-NO POINTS NOTHING FOR OVER A DECADE, COULD NOT DRIVE FOR OVER TWO MONTHS WITH NO END IN SIGHT UNTIL MS. ESTY INTERVENED, BECAUSE AN OFFICER MADE A STATEMENT. “THE OPERATOR BEGAN YELLING AND CURSING, “MOST” OF WHICH I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND”!!!! AND MY LICENSE WAS TAKEN JUST ON THAT!!! WHAT DID YOU HEAR, WHEN YOU STATED YOU COULD NOT UNDERSTAND MOST OF WHAT I SAID?? THAT IS WHY THE DMV COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE ERASED THE WITHDRAWAL (MEDICAL) FROM THE RECORD-ALL GONE!!! HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU THINK DMV DOES THAT?? NOT TOO OFTEN!!

CASE CLOSED!!!

WHEN WILL THE STATE OF CT AND OTHER STATES IN THIS COUNTRY STOP PROSECUTING VICTIMLESS CRIMES?? THE COURTS ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT YOU AND I FROM HARM!!!! MEANWHILE THE DOCKETS ARE FILLED WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE ‘BREACHED’ THE LAW AND HURT NO-ONE AND DR. PETIT HAS HAD TO WAIT HOW MANY YEARS TO SEE TWO PEOPLE WHO ALLEGEDLY HARMED THREE OF HIS FAMILY MEMBERS TO JUSTICE?? AGAIN, WHERE ARE THE PRIORITIES??

THE BOTTOM LINE I WAS TOLD-”OH JUST GET A LAWYER, PAY HIM THE FEE ($500) AND YOU THE “OFFENDER” DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO SHOW UP TO COURT AND WE WILL PROBABLY NOLLE IT.” THAT IS WHAT I WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE FROM THE CENTRALIZED INFRACTIONS BUREAU.

SO, IF I WERE SUCH A DANGER ON THE ROAD WHERE A COMPLAINT TICKET HAD TO BE WRITTEN OUT, WHY DO I NOT EVEN HAVE TO SHOW UP IF I SHELL OUT MONEY TO A LAWYER?? THE QUESTION HAS BEEN ANSWERED-BOTTOM LINE-MONEY!!!

I GUESS IF YOU CAN’T AFFORD THE ATTORNEY FEE, YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP. IF YOU CAN, YOU DON’T. IT IS DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS. IT IS ALL MONEY!!! MONEY WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM.  SO I GUESS YOU ARE NOT THAT MENACING OR DANGEROUS IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO “PAY” THEIR PRICE. WHAT DOES THAT SOUND LIKE TO YOU?? YES, EXACTLY!!! REMEMBER IT IS “with liberty AND JUSTICE FOR ALL”!!! NOT “with liberty and justice (FOR THOSE THAT HAVE THE CASH”)!!!!

ALSO, MY SPOUSE IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE WEST MAIN ST PROJECT NOT BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE WORKING THERE, HE DOESN’T CARE AND I DON’T EITHER. IT IS WHETHER OR NOT THESE PEOPLE ARE GETTING PAID THE PREVAILING WAGE AND THE CORRECT PREVAILING WAGE. THERE ARE THREE PREVAILING WAGE TIERS, CONSTRUCTION, ELECTRICAL AND MASONRY. THE MASONRY WORK GETS PAID THE HIGHEST PREVAILING WAGE. WERE THESE PEOPLE GETTING THAT WAGE?? WERE THEY TOLD TO USE THE DUST MASKS TO GUARD THEIR HEALTH?? REMEMBER, MY SON LIVES AS A LEGAL ALIEN IN CANADA. HE KNOWS HOW IT FELT AT FIRST  NOT TO UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE WHEN HE WENT TO QUEBEC AND THE CULTURE AND HOW UNCOMFORTABLE IT MADE HIM FEEL WHEN HE FIRST WENT THERE. HE KNOWS WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE TAKEN FROM THE TRAIN AND QUESTIONED ABOUT RETURNING TO CANADA AFTER HE HAD GRADUATED. HE HAS A WORK PERMIT AND DOES FINE. CANADA HAS BEEN VERY KIND AND GRACIOUS TO HIM. BUT AT CERTAIN TIMES IT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR HIM AS I AM SURE  IT HAS BEEN FOR OTHERS WHO COME HERE TO EXPERIENCE A DIFFERENT WAY OF LIFE AND TO MAKE MONEY. THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE-IT IS  MAKING SURE PEOPLE ARE TREATED FAIRLY NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE. I WANTED TO GET THAT STRAIGHT.

Now, as far as the Monthly Gas Distribution Report goes: for June 2009 “Police Dept. Pumps” 2,787. 2 gallons were purchased and 28,081 miles were driven. The printout states the old price of gas at 51 cents or so, but I believe the Chief said the gas is purchased at around $2.37 some odd cents per gallon. I guess they could not update the price on the pump, besides everything is based on gallons used.

In June 2010, the Police purchased 2,621.0 gallons and drove 27,333 miles.  In July, 2009, 3,072.7 gallons of gas were purchased and 33,949 miles were driven. In July, 2010 , 2,758 gallons were purchased and 25,538 miles were driven.

MORE LATER.

Really great photos of Kansas. She shows herself in so many different ways. These photos are just a few glimpses:

I picked up  (gas usage for EACH vehicle) for June,July 09 and June, July 10. I will go through it and try to put on as much as possible over several posts, it IS 48 pages.  I did notice the 2009 printouts for the police INDIVIDUAL VEHICLE gas usage is in that nasty dot matrix. The 2010 is a regular laser printer so it will be easier to see. I also noticed the one pump the police have uses SUPER UNLEADED!!! Now, I know the cars are V-8, but if the ignition timing is adjusted from TDC (top dead center) these cars SHOULD RUN on REGULAR UNLEADED. Also I am fairly sure one of those SUV’s I keep saying they should stop using so much is a FLEX FUEL VEHICLE which uses a blend of gas and ethanol. BETTER GAS MILEAGE??

Check it out

Flex Fuel is Cheaper but you get bad gas mileage and you cannot go as far on a tank of gas.  What’s the deal with Flex Fuel.  You see those big suv’s rocking the little badge on the back, but what exactly is “Flex Fuel.”  Well Flex Fuel is also know as E85.  The “E” is short for Ethanol which make up 85% of the mix, the rest is gasoline.

Flex Fuel Cars Get Better Fuel Economy – Nope!
Gasoline has a lot of stored energy, but the Alcohol that is contained in Ethanol has less.  Since Flex Fuel is mostly Ethanol the result is less bank for the buck.  Car that use E85 get 10-15% less fuel economy than their regular brothern.  Take for example the GMC Yukon, the Flex Fuel gas mileage is much lower.  And I grabbed this from fueleconomy.gov!

Yes, keep staying home. Remember, YOU the taxpayer ARE PAYING FOR THIS.

Stay tuned.

THIS JUST IN:

Derf and Cindy,

The Police Department and the Finance Department have completed the compilation of this information that you requested – it was quite a time-consuming process, especially since they were working with two different financial systems.  The document is lengthy – 48 pages, which, at $.50 per page totals $24.00.  It is available for you to pick up at the Police Station, or we can send it to you through the mail.  However, since the cost is over $10.00, we would require pre-payment either way.  If you prefer to do this via mail, simply send a check for $24.00, payable to Town of Cheshire, to either Chief Cruess (500 Highland Ave.)  or to me in the Town Manager’s office (84 South Main St.), and we will mail the document out immediately upon receipt.  Should you choose to pick it up at the Police Department, you can pay at the records window with cash or check.

Thanks – hope you are having an enjoyable summer.

Arnett

I am having “what is left” of the enjoyable summer now that I have my license.

I WANT TO SAY HI TO MY FRIEND ED AND THANKS FOR YOUR TIME-I APPRECIATE IT EITHER WAY.

AUGUST 16,2010: I JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM ARNETT FROM THE CHESHIRE CT TOWN MANAGER’S OFFICE REGARDING THIS GAS USE PER VEHICLE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. I CALLED AROUND 3 P.M. ON MONDAY, AUGUST 16th TO SEE HOW IT WAS GOING. HERE IS THE RESPONSE:

Cindy and Derf,

Our system only tracks and allocates gas usage by department, but we are waiting to hear back from Chief Cruess to see if he might be able to provide this information by vehicle – I will let you know when we hear back from him if we have this info available in any form.  Thanks!

Arnett

I AM BACK IN CHESHIRE FOR A WEEK TO CELEBRATE MY UPCOMING BIRTHDAY AND MY ANNIVERSARY BEFORE EVERYTHING STARTS NEXT WEEK. I AM DELIBERATING WHETHER OR NOT TO ATTEND THAT CAPITAL BUDGET HEARING ON PUBLIC SAFETY. I KNOW MY SPOUSE IS ATTENDING. WE WILL HAVE QUESTIONS-HOPEFULLY WE WILL RECEIVE ANSWERS.

THAT IS ALL FOR NOW.

“CONSIDER STORING FOOD NOW”

UPDATE: AUGUST 12, 2010- My spouse just  read me a letter dated August 10, 2010 from the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles office regarding that June 3 2010 incident with the CHESHIRE CT police department where my license was taken for OVER two months even though I have a clean driving record-NO POINTS and has been that way for OVER 10 years. Thanks again to MS. ESTY our state representative who helped me get my driver license returned on July 20. I guess the Commissioner of Motors Vehicles must has seen through the smoke ( and the inaccuracies) because here is the letter I received a few days after I mailed the Commissioner my driver history, all my medical records which indicate NO MEDICAL PROBLEMS OF ANY TYPE AND A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH TO DRIVE!!! I also mailed that farce of police report which states “the operator began yelling and swearing MOST OF WHICH I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND”!!! AND THAT ALLOWS THESE PEOPLE TO TAKE A LICENSE AWAY AND KEEP A THE REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE CARD FOR SEVERAL HOURS WHICH VIOLATED THE FOURTH AMENDMENT SEARCH AND SEIZURE CLAUSE. I HAVE ALREADY HEARD FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL WHO HAS DIRECTED HIS STAFF TO INVESTIGATE. I AM HAPPY BECAUSE NOW EVERYONE IN POWER IN THIS STATE KNOWS WHAT HAS HAPPENED AND THEY KNOW THE REAL REASON-YOU ARE READING IT-UNDERGROUND TOWN HALL!! ALSO INCLUDED WAS ANOTHER COPY OF MY DRIVER HISTORY. REMEMBER THE ONE I PUT ON THIS BLOG HAD THE “WITHDRAWAL FOR MEDICAL REASONS” INDEFINITE.

THE LATEST ONE HAS THAT ALL ERASED. IT IS CLEAN AS A WHISTLE. THE DRIVER HISTORY STATES: “NO VIOLATIONS ON RECORD”

THANK YOU COMMISSIONER WARD FOR SEEING THROUGH THIS. YOUR DRIVING RECORD CAN AFFECT GETTING EMPLOYMENT. MINE IS CLEAN-NO REFERENCE TO THE WITHDRAWAL- THAT WAS MY REQUEST AND THEY HONORED IT-RIGHTLY SO!!! NOW I CAN GET MY CDL!!!

MY DRIVING RECORD IS CLEAN AND GUESS WHAT?? IT IS STAYING THAT WAY!! WHY?? BECAUSE I WON’T BE DRIVING IN CHESHIRE ANYMORE SO I KNOW WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS. AND FOR MR “SHOULDN’T YOU BE WORRYING ABOUT THE KANSAS POLICE BY NOW”

I HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU-”SHOULDN’T YOUR STUPID LITTLE TOWN BE WORRYING ABOUT OSHA VIOLATIONS,PREVAILING WAGE AND IMMIGRATION ISSUES BY NOW”???

LUCKILY IT HAS BACKFIRED BIGTIME. I FIGHT BACK AND I WIN!!! GET READY CHESHIRE TO WRITE THAT $8,000 CHECK. MY SPOUSE WILL BE ATTENDING THAT CAPITAL BUDGET FOR THE POLICE. IF THE TOWN COUNCIL EVEN TRIES TO GIVE THEM ONE ITEM, THE TOWN WILL BE CONDUCTING YET ANOTHER REFERENDUM!!!

AND ALSO, IS THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT OVERTAXING MOTOR VEHICLES?? THE TOWN IS STATING OUR 1991 CAMRY IS WORTH $2000 AND WAS PURCHASED SEVERAL YEARS AGO FOR $1,200?? COME ON!!! ALSO THE 1997 TOYOTA COROLLA IS NOW WORTH $4000 AND WAS PURCHASED IN EIGHT YEAR AGO USED FOR $4000??? THE POLICE DEPARTMENT CLAIMS THEIR POLICE VEHICLES ARE WORTHLESS AFTER A FEW YEARS!!! GO FIGURE!!!

Here is Edmunds value on a 1997 Toyota Corolla base model-air, power steering, rear window defroster, am/fm cd, 1/4 liter at 100 percent value. Remember, the Town of Cheshire CT has my vehicle assessed at $2,900 at 75 percent value which comes out to $4,000 full value 100 percent assessment. So literally the town says my vehicle never lost value.

I don’t have my scanner-but here is the letter from the DMV MOTOR VEHICLE DIVISION CHIEF KATHLEEN F. BEAL IN ITS ENTIRETY.

August 10, 2010

Cynthia A. Kleist

Dear Ms. Kleist;

I am in receipt of your recent letter to Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Robert M. Ward concerning issues involving the Cheshire Police Department and the status of your Connecticut motor vehicle operator’s license.

A review of your driving history indicates NO VIOLATIONS on your record; I have enclosed a recent CERTIFIED COPY of your driving history for your benefit. It confirms you have NO OUTSTANDING ISSUES PENDING AT THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES RELATIVE TO YOUR OPERATOR’S LICENSE.

Your letter also expresses concerns about events relative to a stop by the Cheshire Police Department. The Department of Motor Vehicles has no jurisdiction over law enforcement and will take no further action regarding that aspect of your correspondence.

Sincerely,

Kathleen F. Beal

MV Division Chief

UPDATE: AUGUST 10, 2010-My spouse DID HEAR from Arnett in the Cheshire CT Town Hall regarding the municipal gas usage for the police vehicles. She said she was going to work on it right away.

ALSO I DID GET A PRIVATE COMMENT FROM A READER WHO THINKS THERE MAY BE A POSSIBLE OSHA, PREVAILING  WAGE AND ICE (IMMIGRATION) ISSUE GOING ON AT THE WEST MAIN STREET STREETSCAPE PROJECT IN CHESHIRE CT. THE READER SAID THEY WERE CONTACTING  THE STATE OF CT LABOR DEPT.PREVAILING WAGE DIVISION OSHA AND IMMIGRATION. IF THERE IS A VIOLATION THE PROJECT COULD BE SHUT DOWN. THE PERSON WILL BE CONTACTING THE PRESS.

We are out of Cheshire CT so HERE is some NEW NEWS from MANHATTAN KANSAS HOME OF KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY. THIS IS THE KSU EDITION OF THE MANHATTAN MERCURY FROM 2009 but it is still good reading. Also I will let you know if my spouse hears from the Town of Cheshire CT regarding this municipal gas usage for the police vehicles.

The Final Message

July 28th, 2010 by Cindy

AUGUST 9, 2010: MY SPOUSE JUST INFORMED ME THAT HE HAS SENT VIA EMAIL,  A REQUEST TO THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT FOR THE MUNICIPAL GAS USAGE FOR EACH POLICE CAR FROM JUNE THROUGH JULY 2009AND JUNE THROUGH JULY 2010. THIS OUGHT TO BE GOOD!!!

MORE LATER.

OK I just sent the info to the Attorney General’s  Office regarding my driver license and that INACCURATE police report TWO DAYS AGO. I GOT A REPLY ALREADY!!! It came in the mail on FRIDAY, AUGUST 6th and is dated AUGUST 5th. I SENT IT AUGUST 4th.

Basically the letter reads as follows:

Dear Ms. Kleist,

I very much appreciate your letter bringing your concerns and questions to my attention. My staff will review your letter and will contact you as soon as possible.

We hope to help address these issues, and will do everything possible within our legal authority to assist you.

Your inquiry, recorded as Public Inquiry #360264 has been assigned to the Consumer Protection Department within the Attorney General’s Office. The phone number for this department is 860-***-****.

Again, thank you for contacting my office. If you wish to provide any additional information relating to your letter, please refer to the Public Inquiry number indicated above.

Very truly yours,

Richard Blumenthal

Attorney General

A friend asked why the issue was being referred to the Consumer Protection Department. It is-but it is WITHIN THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. This is the correct department because let’s face it-we have a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT IN CHESHIRE!!! Well let us see what happens. I also wrote DMV Commissioner Ward and requested a hearing. I want these people who write inaccurate non factual reports BROUGHT UP ON CHARGES as we would as civilians if we LIED about an ISSUE to the police !!!

It is not different strokes for different folks.

HERE IS THE 911 CALL FROM THE MANCHESTER SHOOTER OMAR THORNTON. THIS IS SO SAD.

THIS PERSON COULD NOT HANDLE THIS STRESS NOW PEOPLE ARE DEAD. PEOPLE HAVE TO LEARN TO CHANNEL THEIR NEGATIVE FEELINGS. IT IS SO HARD FOR SOME. NOW INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE GONE. I AS A WOMAN KNOW HOW IT IS TO BE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AS MOST OF YOU WOMEN OUT THERE DO. BUT SEE THE DIFFERENCE WITH ME IS THAT I CONFRONT PEOPLE. I GET IN THEIR FACE STRAIGHT UP AND ASK THEM. I CALL THEM OUT. I AM HONEST IN MY FEELINGS AND ALWAYS TALK FROM MY HEART.SO SAD.  MANY TIMES YOU HAVE TO TAKE THINGS ON THE CHIN AND MOVE ON.

WHEN I STARTED WORKING ON NEWSPAPERS OVER 30 SOME ODD YEARS AGO, YOU THINK THEY ROLLED OUT THE RED CARPET? SOME OF THE GUYS SAID THINGS, WE ANSWERED RIGHT BACK BELIEVE ME!!! WE INSULTED THEM WHERE THEY DON’T LIKE TO BE INSULTED. WE STOOD OUR GROUND. NOW THERE IS A LAW AGAINST THAT.  A LAW HAS TO PROTECT YOU.  PEOPLE NEED TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK UP AND TELL IT LIKE IT IS WITHOUT FEAR OF BEING PROSECUTED. WE CALLED PEOPLE WE DID NOT LIKE THAT BOTHERED US NAMES THAT WOULD BE DOWNRIGHT NASTY TODAY BUT GUESS WHAT? WE DID NOT SEE THIS HAPPEN.

THIS IS A SAD EXAMPLE OF PEOPLE WHO WERE TAUGHT THAT NOTHING THEY DO IS WRONG, THAT LIFE IS NOT UNFAIR BECAUSE IF IT IS IT WILL BE MADE FAIR FOR ALL. THEY WERE TAUGHT THERE WOULD BE NO CONSEQUENCES FOR ACTIONS. NO ONE LOSES-EVERYONE MAKES THE TEAM. AS BILLY IDOL SAID IN ONE OF HIS SONGS:

“THERE IS NOTHING FAIR IN THIS WORLD.”

911 call to police by Omar Thornton

THIS JUST IN: CAR STRIKES DUNKIN DONUTS ON WEST MAIN ST IN CHESHIRE AUGUST 5. Ten get you one that person will still be able to drive.  OH IT WAS A 79 YEAR OLD LADY WHO APPARENTLY DROVE FROM ACROSS THE STREET RIGHT INTO THE WINDOW OF THE DUNKIN DONUTS. I ALWAYS SIT AT THAT TABLE RIGHT BY THE WINDOW. I WAS THERE A FEW WEEKS AGO. HEADS UP THAT IS WHEN YOU TAKE A LICENSE AWAY.

AND THEN APPARENTLY THE CONVENIENCE STORE ON WEST MAIN WAS ROBBED A FEW DAYS AGO AT 5:30 IN THE AFTERNOON. THE ROBBERS WERE ARRESTED IN WALLINGFORD BY THEIR POLICE DEPARTMENT. IT FIGURES.

This town is so dead in the water legally it isn’t even funny. I challenge the people at the police department to JUSTIFY why my license was taken based on that SLOPPY LIBELOUS POLICE REPORT THEY WROTE!!!  You are paying for it with your taxes. They rake it in and you pay!! You’ll get tired of it one day.

My spouse told me he had seen a piece on Cheshire CT’s town government channel about how the Mixville playground was fixed up. Remember last JULY 2009 when I went to Mixville right before they started charging an entrance fee and interviewed some out of town people? I don’t have that video anymore unfortunately but I did zoom in on flooding in the Mixville playground area. Then of course some others picked up on it. I guess the town did too. This is what makes this driver license incident so nasty. I took the time to care about the town, I gained nothing from it financially or politically and look what happened. I mean I have had to take on nasty comments and emails but this took the cake. I will never forget what happened and I will seek out justice THE LEGAL WAY.

And those signs on the telephone poles better come down or I will have people put up signs and the Police will NOT LIKE THE CONTENT believe me and guess what? It all is legal-covered by the First Amendment-FREE SPEECH and backed up by the ACLU.

PUBLIC WORKERS ENJOY GOLDEN NEST EGGS

Manchester CT Police Chief Marc Montminy gives press conference on shooting. Look how professional and at ease he is with the press. He knows how to handle questions and is very relaxed and secure.  You can tell he is used to doing this. Something needed in Cheshire CT.

UPDATE: I did hear on Monday, Aug. 2 from the Attorney Generals Office. I have to send some additional documentation but it appears they are interested. I sent the report the police filed, my medical records-FACTS. I also am billing the town of Cheshire CT for $8,000 in damages and lost wages for the nearly two month period I was without a license. AND, I also will have to come back to Connecticut to answer this “Failure to Drive Right” infraction which has still not been settled by the court since June 3 2010!!!! Many friends are telling me they don’t see the police driving around as much ever since I got my license back. Because, it was a contest I believe, this is just my opinion. See who can catch her driving and then we can justify having her license taken.  The police report is what is the caveat here. I mean look, they had THREE DAYS to write it-you would think they would get it right. When a person writes from emotion THEY MAKE MISTAKES!! I hope they did not write some other police report as they did mine or two people may walk!!!

Another interesting article on overtime-from 2007-Windsor CT Town Council meeting. Scroll down to the “police” category and see what one of the Town Council people says about overtime. You would NEVER read that in Cheshire.

A friend just contacted me on Monday, August 2, 2010 and told me she had just driven down Peck Lane towards Carmody’s Farm stand and there is paving going on. She noticed the WORKERS were directing traffic NOT the Cheshire Police Department because that is NOT EXTRA DUTY and would be TOWN OVERTIME. Maybe someone is getting the hint. $614,000 IN OVERTIME for 09/10 fiscal year-this NEEDS TO STOP!!!

Also, here is a real nice website of the Gilford Police Dept., Gilford, New Hampshire. Some department should take note and update THEIRS!!! It is very community oriented.

I just had to share this article about STATE DEBT. CONNECTICUT IS NUMBER ONE!!! THIS REALLY TIES INTO THIS OVERTIME SPENDING IN CHESHIRE. I DON’T WHERE THE TOWN THINKS THEY CAN CONTINUALLY COME UP WITH MONEY FOR THIS.

ANYWAY: CLICK HERE.

THAT IS ALL FOR A WHILE. MY BAGS ARE PACKED.

I WILL LET ALL OF YOU KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED WITH THESE COMPLAINTS THAT WERE FILED. I WILL KEEP THE BLOG UP UNTIL SEPTEMBER. I WILL BE BRINGING BACK OLD POSTS THAT WERE POPULAR. SO JUST KEEP CHECKING BACK. I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THE COURT ABOUT THE INFRACTION AND IT HAS BEEN TWO MONTHS!! SO I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO COME BACK BUT I HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THAT.

CINDY

To my readers: this is THE END-THE LAST POST. I will keep the blog on “maintenance mode” until September when it will go down for good. I am not going to bring the blog back.  The events of the past few months have really now cemented the idea that I have to go on and I AM !!!

The authority in the town of Cheshire CT are not getting away with what they did, believe me, blog or no blog. I just hope the next police chief that is appointed KNOWS HOW TO DEAL WITH CRITICISM AND SCRUTINY FROM THE PUBLIC, SOMETHING SORELY LACKING RIGHT NOW.

FYI: I sent out at least a dozen letters to members of Congress,  the Senate, the ACLU, the Attorney General’s Office, the State Legislature, the DMV Commissioner, so something will come of it, I know.

My spouse also has filed A WRITTEN COMPLAINT against the Town of Cheshire whom he claims violated the Freedom of Information Act when they could offer NO EXPLANATION of why our registration and insurance cards were kept for several hours (several meaning more than two). The police could have put the documents back into the car (even under the seat out of public view. In fact, a few days ago, I FOUND my little black wallet STUFFED down between the driver and passenger seats!!! So I MAY come back to post the outcome. So just keep that in mind.

THIS IS WHAT CAUSED ALL THE PROBLEMS. JUST ONE PERSON ASKING QUESTIONS AND SCRUTINIZING CAUSED ALL OF THIS.

THIS IS NOT 1950-THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS TOWN CANNOT GET AWAY WITH USING A POLICE DEPARTMENT TO KEEP THINGS QUIET IN  THEIR LITTLE PERFECT TOWN.

CHESHIRE IS NOT A LITTLE TOWN ANYMORE. IT HAS BECOME MORE DIVERSE. CHESHIRE NEEDS TO DEAL WITH ISSUES AND STOP TRYING TO WHITEWASH OR IGNORE THINGS. AND UNFORTUNATELY, THE LOCAL PRESS OR THE PRESS FOR THAT MATTER IS NOT HELPING BY TRYING TO RUN CUTESY STORIES INSTEAD OF THE REAL  HARD HITTING TRUTH.

LITTLE BY LITTLE THE PEOPLE I WORKED WITH ON NEWSPAPERS YEARS AGO ARE SEEING OUR WAY OF DOING THINGS DYING. NOW PEOPLE RELY ON BLOGS AND OTHER WEBSITES TO GET THE REAL TRUTH.

I DON’T KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN CHESHIRE IN THE FUTURE, BUT I HOPE FOR THE BEST.  I HOPE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ASKING QUESTIONS WILL CONTINUE. I HOPE THE PEOPLE WHO AREN’T WILL START!!!

TAKE CARE,

CINDY.

Final Cheshire Municipal Employee Overtime

July 23rd, 2010 by Cindy

WHY DON’T I START A NEW POST?? BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO GET INTO THE GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS FOR THE LONGEST POST ON A BLOG IN RECORDED HISTORY THAT IS WHY!!!

CLICK HERE FOR ” BPT FIREFIGHTERS DIED IN BLAZE IN  ILLEGAL APARTMENT”

I am also glad that GOV. RELL FINALLY WOKE UP AND DISCOVERED BRIDGEPORT!!!

FYI: THE ACLU STOPS THE TOWN OF MANSFIELD CT FROM REGULATING “POLITICAL SIGNS”

IF I WERE THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT, ALL SIGNS MUST NOW EITHER BE ALLOWED NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY OR BE TAKEN DOWN FROM THE TELEPHONE POLLS. I SEE SIGNS NEAR RT 42, AND OTHER PLACES ABOUT HOUSE SELLING. A FRIEND HAD PUT “NO MALL” SIGNS ON THEIR PROPERTY A FEW YEARS AGO AND THEY WERE TAKEN.  SO THIS DOES APPLY TO CHESHIRE CT!!!

THIS STORY FROM THE CTPOST TIES IN WITH THE OVERTIME LIST. REMEMBER, THESE FIGURES ADD TO A PERSONS PENSION THAT YOU, THE TAXPAYER PAY FOR. AND ALSO, KEEP IN MIND, THESE OVERTIME FIGURES FOR POLICE  DO NOT INCLUDE EXTRA DUTY “OVERTIME FOR UTILITIES AND OTHER PRIVATE COMPANIES” THAT ALSO ADDS TO THEIR PENSION.

MUNICIPAL PENSIONS: SOLVENT OR ON THE ROPES?

SMALL TOWN GIVES BOOT TO OVERPAID TOWN OFFICIALS

OVERTIME COSTS COULD KILL SUMMER CONCERTS

Here THIS  is the video of the Cheshire Town Council meeting where my spouse addresses the driver license issue of June 3, 2010.

NOTE: I have several email addresses and I check them daily. This morning before I started work I went on one of them and saw what looked like an email from a former town council person. I opened the email and  it said something to the effect “canadian health medicine” or something and showed prices for cialis and viagra!!!

Now LOOK I KNOW THIS PERSON DID NOT SEND THIS EMAIL!! I deleted it but it did have other peoples email addresses on them which is disturbing.

WELL I GUESS SOMEONE DID NOT LIKE THIS OVERTIME LIST.

I HOPE THIS PERSON WHO DID THIS, AND I THINK I KNOW WHO BECAUSE I ONLY USE THIS EMAIL TO CONTACT GOVERNMENT PEOPLE, REALIZES MY SPOUSE WILL BE INVESTIGATING. HE HAS THE SAME POWERS AS A POLICE OFFICER, ACTUALLY MORE BECAUSE HE IS A FEDERAL AGENT. DON’T TRY USING MY NAME ON ANY UNAUTHORIZED EMAILS OR YOU WILL GO TO JAIL I GUARANTEE IT!! ALSO ONE OF MY SON’S WEBSITE CLIENTS ARE THE ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE SO PANSIES YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE BIG TIME!!

ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE WEBSITE

BESIDES YOU NEED VIAGRA AND CIALIS NOT ME. I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT TYPE OF MEDICATION BECAUSE I CAME FROM A GOOD GENE POOL NOT LIKE YOU.

As most of you know, the city of Bridgeport is going through some hard times, the uptick in crime, the tornado and now two Bpt firefighters killed in the line of duty. But, people from Bridgeport KNOW how to survive to take in on the chin and FIGHT BACK AND KEEP GOING. That is where I learned it from. When you come from a place that is in the bottom of the ninth, with three men on and two men out, YOU LEARN FAST!!

OUTWIT, OUTSMART, OUTLAST!!!

Let’s lighten things up a bit:

Here is a cute e-mail I wanted to post from a reader. All you young people under 35 TAKE NOTICE!!!

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE

1930s, ’40s, ’50s, ’60s and ’70s!!

First, we survived being born to mothers who may have smoked and/or drank

while they were pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn’t get tested for diabetes.

Then, after that trauma, we were

put to sleep on our tummies

in baby cribs covered

with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets,

and, when we rode our bikes,

we had baseball caps,

not helmets, on our heads.

As infants and children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes..

Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter, and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And we weren’t overweight.

WHY?

Because we were always outside playing…that’s why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day.

–And, we were OKAY..

We would spend hours building

our go-carts out of scraps

and then ride them down the hill,

only to find out we forgot the brakes.. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Play Stations, Nintendos and X-boxes. There were

no video games, no 150 channels on cable,

no video movies or DVDs,

no surround-sound or CDs,

no cell phones,

no personal computers,

no Internet and no chat rooms.

WE HAD FRIENDS

and we went outside and found  them!

We fell out of trees, got cut,

broke bones and teeth,

and there were no lawsuits

from those accidents..

We would get spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping-pong paddles, or just a bare hand, and no one would call child services to report abuse.

We ate worms, and mud pies

made from dirt, and

the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls, and

-although we were told it would happen- we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts

and not everyone made the team.

Those who didn’t had to learn

to deal with disappointment.

Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers,

problem solvers, and inventors ever.

The past 50 to 85 years have seen an explosion of innovation and new ideas..

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

If YOU are one of those born

between 1925-1970, CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives  for our own good.

While you are at it, forward it to your kids, so they will know how brave and lucky their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn’t it ?

The quote of the month

by

Jay Leno:
“With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?”

For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us…go ahead and delete this.

For the rest of us……pass this on.

ADDENDUM: I wanted to just offer a comment. I hope the people who run this town will look at this list and the cost—OVER $600,000 FOR ONE YEAR for overtime.  Then the town tells certain departments to cut back, pounds on education, cancels bulk pickup, wonders where they are going to get the money for upgrades to our school infrastructure–how INSULTING.

You see, the bottom line in Cheshire CT., you live here-but WE (the few and the privileged) run everything. YOU JUST STAY IN YOUR PLACE AND DON’T QUESTION ANYTHING ESPECIALLY 500 HIGHLAND AVENUE!! WE DON’T WANT YOUR INPUT, STAY HOME, AND STAY OUT OF OUR WAY OR ELSE!!

What a shame. This town is akin to a chef spending hours preparing a gourmet meal, only to have the dish slip from his/her hand and fall to the floor-RUINED.

This town COULD and STILL CAN be the gem of the state of Connecticut. It is centrally located and has a lot of smart people. It is unfortunate the people at the helm don’t want their input. They have old fashioned ideas and refuse to let them go. They don’t welcome people they feel are NOT ONE OF THEM.  That is why we have to pay to go to Mixville because some prima donna heard a person yell mother fucker!!! OH GROW UP!! Who the hell are you?? “Oh we have to be careful because we have the jail here” WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?? MAYBE THE WRONG PEOPLE ARE LOCKED UP!!

Will your favorite teacher be in the classroom NEXT FISCAL YEAR?? Or will we hear “we have to cut back in these hard economic times”  “I can’t go for a $21,000 salary with the economy the way it is” OH REALLY? But I guess spending OVER $600,000 in overtime IN ONE FISCAL YEAR IS BEING FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE REPUBLICANS!! YOU RAN ON THAT PLATFORM. YOU CRITICIZED AND BEAT THE DEMOCRATS OVER THE HEAD FOR IT. NOW WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT THIS?? LISTEN TO THE WHINING THAT WE ARE SHORT STAFFED AND WE CAN’T COMPROMISE PUBLIC SAFETY?? GIVE ME A BREAK!!

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE OUTRAGE THIS OVERTIME. I AM HAPPY THAT TOWN COUNCIL PERSON ANNE GIDDINGS AT LEAST HAD THE GUTS TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT IT AND ASK ABOUT THE INCREASE IN LARCENIES IN LAST MONTHS POLICE REPORT.

ALL YOU SEE IS THEM DRIVING AND DRIVING UP AND DOWN ROUTE 10 and WEST MAIN ST. I WONDER WHAT THE GAS USAGE IS NOW!! THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS TOWN HAVE NO REGARD FOR YOUR FEELINGS OR YOUR INPUT. THEY DO WHAT THEY WANT BECAUSE YOU LET THEM!!! YOU DON’T CARE!!

START CARING!!!

TRY WALKING THE BEAT OR BIKING. I WALK EVERY DAY EVEN IN THE HEAT AND I WALK MILES. MAYBE THIS WOULD CUT DOWN ON HYPERTENSION AND OBESITY JUST TRY IT. THEY DO IT IN MONTREAL. THE COPS WALK!! THE AMBULANCE PEOPLE RIDE BICYCLES AROUND THE CITY.  MAYBE THAT IS WHY THE PLUS SIZE STORE IN MONTREAL STARTS AT SIZE 8!!!

IF THIS TOWN AND ANY TOWN OR CITY FOR THAT MATTER IS SERIOUS ABOUT SAVING MONEY, THINGS LIKE WHAT IS ON THIS POST HAVE TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION–NOW!!!

As I stated in the last post, I did receive the FINAL Cheshire CT municipal employee overtime list. The first list I received that ended April 20, 2010 was in ORDER OF THE HIGHEST OVERTIME EARNERS TO THE LOWEST AND LISTED BY DEPARTMENTS. THIS FINAL LIST WAS IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER AND DID NOT LIST DEPARTMENTS. SO, I COMBINED THE TWO LISTS. THE FIRST SET OF FIGURES IS THE OVERTIME AS OF APRIL 20, 2010. THE FINAL FIGURE IS AS OF JUNE 30, 2010 WHICH IS THE END OF THE TOWNS FISCAL YEAR. THE FISCAL YEAR RUNS JUNE 30 2009 to JUNE 30 2010. REMEMBER THESE FIGURES ARE FROM APRIL 20, 2010 to JUNE 30, 2010.

NOW SOME OF THE FIGURES HAVE QUESTION MARKS BECAUSE THEY MUST HAVE BEEN INPUTTED INCORRECTLY. THAT IS THE NATURE OF THE BEAST. SO THE TOTAL SUM OF GROSS OVERTIME EARNINGS IS (GIVE OR TAKE A FEW DOLLARS) $613,441.37!!

My God look at this list. Some of the overtime DOUBLED and even TRIPLED in two months time!!! OVERTIME BONANZA!!! LOOK AT IT!! YOU DECIDE FOR YOURSELVES. UNBELIEVABLE. NOW YOU KNOW WHY I AM LEAVING TOWN AND PROBABLY NOT A MOMENT TOO SOON.

I apologize for any errors or omissions. I DID TYPE THIS ALL IN BY HAND BECAUSE I HAD TO COMBINE THE LISTS. MY SPOUSE ALSO ASSISTED.
