I WILL POST THE UPDATE OF THE CHLORINE FIASCO ON MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL. I WILL WEAN AWAY FROM THIS AND GO TOWARDS YOUTUBE AND FACEBOOK.

THERE ARE NO WARMING CENTERS OPEN IN CHESHIRE CT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ASKED. IF YOUR POWER GOES OUT OR YOU HAVE  A HEATING MALFUNCTION IN YOUR HOME-YOU’LL HAVE TO GET A HOTEL ROOM . THERE ARE NO CENTERS PROBABLY BECAUSE OF THE ISSUES A FEW YEARS AGO AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.

THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF-NO –THE WORST TOWN I HAVE EVER LIVED IN. THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS TOWN DON’T CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE HERE- THEY ARE AFRAID OF THEIR OWN SHADOW–IT IS ALL ABOUT THEMSELVES-AND THE FEW THEY CATER TO. WANT TO GAUGE CHESHIRE CT-LOOK AT THE POOL. BASICALLY SPENDING OVER $20 MILLION TO CATER TO MAYBE THE MOST 200 PEOPLE.

IT GETS TIRING TO HEAR “CHESHIRE(POPULATION 29,000) IS TOO SMALL TO SUPPORT LARGE RETAIL STORES OR COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT”.

OH REALLY-THEN HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN ALL OF THE SUCCESSFUL COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT ON THE POST ROAD IN  ORANGE CT? —POPULATION 13,960. WHEN YOU COME UP WITH AN ANSWER-LET ME KNOW.

From what I was told, former Cheshire CT Police Officer Jay Markella received THREE YEARS probation after pleading guilty to five counts of 4th degree larceny. He has probation with special conditions and I understand that he has to pay back the money that was taken.

Too bad. He had a nice career and he was always nice to me. But this is what happens when people aren’t monitored on their jobs and believe no one cares and no one is watching.

Some asked how I feel about Donald Trump winning in New Hampshire because I have a home there. When I go to New Hampshire-I MIND MY OWN BUSINESS AND SO DOES D. We don’t bother with any politics, and don’t bother with anyone and no one bothers with us or bothers us. When I see the neighbor across the street she waves, I wave back, next door-Hi-how are you-THAT’S IT. I don’t get involved because this is a State where people were flying confederate flags. There are a lot of VERY CONSERVATIVE people there-I leave it at the door.

When you purchase a home or a condo in a Town, you have made an investment in that Town. You have a right to speak your mind. I minded my own business here but someone else didn’t. I am not going to rehash how all of this got started, but basically it was to defend myself when some people who think they have the exclusive rights to Cheshire CT because they have money and influence, have a right to harass people who have a different opinion.

NO THEY DON’T AND I WILL NEVER STAND FOR IT-ANYWHERE.

I DID FIND OUT FROM A THIRD PARTY-THAT THERE IS “AIR” INSULATION BETWEEN THE FABRIC AT THE CHESHIRE CT COMMUNITY POOL.

NOW HERE BELOW IS SOME OF CHESHIRE, CT’S GRAND LIST FOR 2015. NOTABLY, THERE IS $18,322,630 IN VACANT LAND-I FOUND OUT MOST OF THIS IS THE BROAD BROOK RESERVOIR WHICH CHESHIRE DOES RECEIVE TAX PAYMENTS FROM MERIDEN. ALSO, THERE IS A LOT OF STATE LAND ON THE BETHANY BORDER OFF RT 42 WHICH CHESHIRE ALSO RECEIVES TAX PAYMENTS.

BUT, THERE IS PRIME REAL ESTATE AND I AM GOING TO DO A VIDEO ON IT, LAND ON NORTHERN RT. 10 RIGHT NEAR I-691 THAT REMAINS VACANT. THIS IS PERFECT FOR A LITTLE SHOPPING CENTER-THAT COULD HAVE WHOLE FOODS STORE-TRADER JOES-RED ROBIN RESTAURANT-STORES THAT ARE NOT IN THE AREA. CHESHIRE CT HAS TO ATTRACT PEOPLE FROM THE OTHER TOWNS-BECAUSE ITS POPULATION IS TOO SMALL AT 29,000 FOR THESE RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS TO BE ABLE TO FUNCTION ON THEIR OWN. I WOULDN’T PUT A MOVIE THEATER-THERE ARE SEVERAL IN THE SURROUNDING AREA-BUT A NICE HILTON HOTEL-WOULD WORK.

SECONDLY, THE TOWN HAS TO ELIMINATE THAT 50,000 SQ. FT. MAXIMUM FOR THE STORES. BECAUSE OF THIS, CHESHIRE COULD HAVE HAD THE HOME DEPOT-AND THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AN AREA THAT DOESN’T DISTURB ANYONE-RIGHT NEXT TO NAPOLI’S WAREHOUSE.

THE TOWN SHOULD ENCOURAGE NAPOLI’S TO BUY OUT THE PEOPLE ON ST. JOSEPH STREET WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM THAT WAREHOUSE-AT LEAST  HOME DEPOT CLOSES AT 9 OR 10 P.M. AND DOESN’T HAVE THE CONSTANT FOOD DELIVERIES NAPOLI’S DOES. WE ALSO COULD HAVE HAD THAT BEST WESTERN HOTEL OVER THERE ALSO. THERE ARE SOME REALLY STUBBORN STUCK IN 1945 PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS TOWN-THEY NEED TO GET OVER IT NOW. BECAUSE HOUSE PROPERTY TAXES DON’T CUT IT-IF ONE HOUSEHOLD HAS TWO SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN-THE COST OF EDUCATING THEM IN TOWN NEGATES THE PROPERTY TAXES COLLECTED.

PLANNING & ZONING NEEDS TO ELIMINATE THE 50,000 SQ. FT. LIMIT AND ATTRACT DECENT RETAILERS THAT WILL SERVE CHESHIRE AND NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES. WE DON’T NEED B-DUB (BUFFALO WILD WINGS) MY FAVE PLACE, OR APPLEBEES OR IHOP THEY ARE ALREADY IN OTHER TOWNS. WE COULD HAVE HAD THAT NICE BOSCOV’S WHICH IS UNIQUE AND NOT FOUND ANYWHERE AROUND HERE-BUT WE CAN’T BECAUSE OF THAT 50,000 Sq. ft. LIMIT. GET RID OF IT NOW.

LOOK, WHEN I LIVED IN EASTON THEY HAD NO COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT–THEY DIDN’T HALF ASS IT LIKE CHESHIRE-EITHER YOU WANT COMMERCIAL AND RETAIL OR YOU DON’T. MAKE UP YOUR MIND CHESHIRE CT-WHICH IS THE GEOGRAPHIC CENTER OF CT AND DOESN’T TAKE ADVANTAGE

Pool Re-opening & Other News

I did contact Arizon Structures who installed the second bubble over the Cheshire CT Community pool which ripped and fell down during a winter storm and just installed the supported  tensioned steel framed structure over the Cheshire CT Community pool. I haven’t heard back from them. I had a few questions. I called before and never heard back so I am not anticipating anything.

The question I had-is there insulation between the fabric-As you know, I advocated Sprung Instant Structures because they invented this tensioned system and have been in business nearly 150 years  and have structures in 22 countries and are out of Alberta Canada, so snow is no issue.

I am providing a short video of how Sprung installs their tensioned membrane system. I HOPE it is the same with Arizon with the insulation installation.  I don’t know-I can’t get an answer. It is water over the dam now but we should have gone with Sprung IMO. You can compare because IMO it doesn’t seem there is insulation between the fabric in the Cheshire CT Pool.

Here below is the Re-opening of the Cheshire, CT Community Pool on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016.

It looks nice. I will definitely be swimming there-

I pray there are no more problems. I know many of you are upset over the cost of this pool, but it is an asset to the Town-it is an olympic sized pool and there aren’t that many in the State. But people must remember-it is a COMMUNITY pool-not just for private swim teams because the taxpayers have paid out over $20 million to keep this pool going.

Now remember, you can access my Facebook page and Youtube page for more info.

HERE IS THE ENTIRE VIDEO:

I wanted to post this photo below taken on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 in Cheshire CT in the CVS/Cheshire Liquor Store parking lot. My question: how long did it take this person or persons to do this and no one else noticed. There is a mattress there, among other items that are large and bulky. And these items don’t look like “Clothes and Shoes”.

We need bulk pickup Cheshire CT.

I went to a tribute party for David Bowie on Saturday. It was fun. And here on Featured Video-is one of the songs they played. Luckily everyone there were real Bowie fans so it just added to the excitement.  A man an artist way ahead of his time. Only appreciated by a few. In fact, he coined the word “space invader” its in this song.

I am linking you to ISO-NE – (Independent Service Operators of New England) created by FERC –  (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission)  in the late 90’s, is the power grid-so you can see what is up with energy prices. You can even see the price at the Henry Hub Natural Gas Distribution pipeline in Erath, Louisiana.

If you don’t know-understand that this coming year, transmission costs will SKYROCKET-resulting in RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS seeing A BIG increase (like over 10 percent) or more, in the electric bills for NEW ENGLAND over the next few years.  Higher rates have been passed onto commercial and industrial customers for years-now its OUR TURN.

You need to understand the situation in New England and why our rates are so high.

ISO-NE

I did go out there to snowblow and try that technique where you are supposed to face your house- and go to the RIGHT and start shoveling or snowblowing at the curb to the LEFT. The idea is-when the plow comes by it has a place to dump the snow, thus eliminating a big pile in your driveway apron. Well I did the first pass-of course then the plow came by as you will see in the video, and left a small pile in the apron. My camera died after that-I had to do it again and when the plow came by a second time, there was snow in the apron but just a small pile. I was able to just take a snow shovel and remove it-everyone else I noticed had to snowblow it away.

I will be honest, I did notice a little difference, but not a lot. I don’t know if it was worth the effort because as you will see in the video.  The plow has to come around a corner-so more than snow than usual is picked up.

HERE IS THE VIDEO BELOW-IT IS FRIDAY FEBRUARY 5th. THAT’S BECAUSE I TRANSCRIBE MEETINGS AND I AM ALWAYS A FEW DAYS BEHIND THE ACTUAL CALENDAR DATE.

One thing I think removing the snow to the right of your home in the curb does-it cut down on your mailbox being KO’d. It works better when the plow goes close to the curb I was told.

Also-back by popular request-my son’s Instagram photos. The first photo is of the Canadiens Hockey game. The players look small because they are-it was intermission and the pee wee league was on the ice.

I received from FOI, the Respondents information from the hearing.  I did manage to open all of the exhibits in EML-they were all of the information I asked for under FOI . And wasn’t I supposed to get this information in advance of the hearing?

The other exhibits were emails between the Town Manager’s office and myself regarding the emails and two of the exhibits are screenshots of this blog which doesn’t have anything to do with why I couldn’t view the the Town’s emails. It doesn’t matter what was said on the blog, what my husband does or doesn’t do, what I think, what you think, it is irrelevant to the fact that the Town didn’t allow me to VIEW emails without being copied, redacted and charged for.

My complaint will be dismissed for failure to appear-but they didn’t win either with the information they submitted. And their request for a fine was denied.

Let Sleeping Dogs lie  now. I won’t ask for another FOI hearing. Time to move on.

Dear” Pyongyang Times”–it is time to keep continuing to talk about the Cheshire CT Community Pool-why? Well for starters–the pool has cost the community over $20 million. Two-the same company that installed one of the two pool bubble covers which ripped and fell down-TWICE-installed this cover–Three-we don’t know how many USERS there are-how many people have actual memberships NOT DAY PASSES-no one can get an accurate figure-FOUR-Cheshire refuses to operate this pool as a business-they won’t charge the same price (offer memberships) to ANYONE regardless of where they are from as the Y does in Southington, CT. Cheshire CT needs to “get over” acting like a gated community and get over this “out of towner” mentality. Only then will the Pool see a profit and the Town thrive. The people who pay taxes here deserve that. Until then this pool is and will be a FAIL.  (and I support the pool).

I noticed on Wednesday Feb. 3, that old abandoned falling down house near 691 across the commuter parking lot was torn down. I starting asking about it. Then I noticed the other piece of property  with that long building that was dilapidated  and was once a pool store, is blocked off and there are signs saying they have cameras and don’t trespass. Tear down that eyesore will you.  I was getting after the Town about it and maybe they made a few phone calls because now there is some action. GOOD. This is prime commercial property that SHOULD be developed for RETAIL.  It is not near any neighborhoods, is right off the highway-its perfect and it just sits there. Someone needs to get on the stick NOW.

Here below is the video:

I have more of these press releases from Dec. 2015 from the Cheshire, CT Police. I wish they would put more information. It seems as if it is “we got a suspicious person call and did an investigation and ended up arresting the person for —–. Well what constitutes suspicious? They don’t say. I hope its not “you don’t look like you belong here” suspicious. Who knows. All of these press releases combined-didn’t add up to the 14 pages of nonsense they wrote about me for CROSSING THE STREET!

You see, “suspicious” is the Cheshire CT police word for “burglary” or “break-in” in my opinion. They are deliberately sketchy because it doesn’t make the Town look good. No-lying to people doesn’t make the Town “look good” withholding information that people have a right to know and want to see doesn’t make the Town “look good”.  My girlfriend is still here so one night this week she and I and a few old friends from Bridgeport are going to walk all over Town at 10 p.m. at night. Will we be “suspicious’?  Will the cops get called? We will find out. If people are just walking that ISN’T suspicious and no legal grounds to be detained. It is more than that-crimes are being committed and that is what is missing in the press release verbiage.  In fact, these on-scene “investigations’ by the police —they sound SUSPICIOUS.

I didn’t run all of them because a lot of them were DUI. Boy there sure are a lot of DUI’s in this Town. I wonder how legit they are. AND I ALSO CHECK THE JUDICIAL BRANCH TO SEE IF THE CASES WERE THROWN OUT WHICH A LOT OF THEM ARE.

Up for a while

I AM ON FACEBOOK.

FOLLOW ME THERE.

HERE IS MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL LINK

I AM EVENTUALLY GOING TO JUST DO YOUTUBE AND FACEBOOK.

FEATURED VIDEO-“3 BREAKFASTS YOU CAN MAKE IN A MUG”

TO SOMEONE I SAW ON FRIDAY-YOU GOT A TASTE OF YOUR OWN MEDICINE. I GOT DISRESPECTED I GAVE IT RIGHT BACK. BOTTOM LINE- I DON’T TAKE ORDERS FROM PEOPLE I DON’T RESPECT. RESPECT IS EARNED PAL. YOU CAN MOAN AND GROAN ALL YOU WANT-YOU GOT WHAT YOU HAD COMING TO YOU. WHEN YOU LEARN TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT-THEN IT WILL BE GIVEN BACK TO YOU. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. NOW WE ARE EVEN. START FRESH.

I TRIED TO CALL CHESHIRE ACADEMY IN CHESHIRE CT TO ASK THEM WHAT HAPPENED WITH THIS “HAZARDOUS INCIDENT” JUST FOR HELL OF IT. WHEN YOU PRESS THE OPERATOR BUTTON, YOU GET A VOICE MAIL-SO YOU KNOW THEY AIN’T TALKING. THEY SHOULD TELL THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE HERE WHAT HAPPENED TO CAUSE THE POLICE TO HAVE TO COME OUT AND SPEND TIME SEARCHING THE CAMPUS. THEY DON’T PAY TAXES AS IT IS TO CHESHIRE CT BUT HAD NO PROBLEM USING OUR POLICE-WITH US THE RESIDENTS HAVING TO PAY OVERTIME MORE THAN LIKELY FOR THEM TO INVESTIGATE. IF IT WERE ME AND THEY CALLED-I WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO CALL THE STATE POLICE.  NO ONE IS BELIEVING THEIR “STORY” I WILL FIND OUT BUT IT WILL TAKE TIME THEN I WILL POST THE INFO HERE AS I DID WITH THE NURSING HOME INCIDENT.

JUST RECEIVED THE NOTICE FROM FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ON THE DEC. 14 FOI HEARING REGARDING THE EMAILS. OF COURSE I, THE COMPLAINANT LOST-BECAUSE I DIDN’T SEE THE DATE OF THE FOI HEARING ON THE MAILING-IT WAS MY FAULT AND I DESERVED TO LOSE. I COULD HAVE APPEALED BUT DIDN’T BUT NOW AFTER READING THE FINAL DECISION-I SHOULD HAVE! I CALLED THE TOWN MANAGERS OFFICE AND TOLD THEM I MADE A MISTAKE-I MISSED THE FOI HEARING BECAUSE I DIDN’T SEE THE DATE. I WASN’T PULLING THEIR CHAIN. THEY SAID THEY UNDERSTOOD. BUT THE RESPONDENT PRESENTED EVIDENCE AND THEY DIDN’T WIN EITHER. I DROPPED THE BALL. TIME TO MOVE ON.

THE RESPONDENT TOWN OF CHESHIRE SHOWED UP AND PRESENTED EVIDENCE OF WHY THEY COULDN’T SHOW US 1,000 PAGES OF EMAILS WITHOUT CHARGING US $500 WITH MOST OF THE EMAILS BEING REDACTED.

WHEN I DIDN’T SHOW UP, THE TOWN ARGUED FOR THE “MAXIMUM CIVIL PENALTY” AGAINST ME.

OK HERE IS WHAT THE FOI RULED IN THAT MATTER–

“THE ABOVE-CAPTIONED MATTER WAS HEARD AS A CONTESTED CASE ON DECEMBER 14, 215 AT WHICH TIME THE RESPONDENTS APPEARED AND PRESENTED TESTIMONY, EXHIBITS AND ARGUMENT ON THE COMPLAINT, INCLUDING A REQUEST FOR THE IMPOSITION OF THE MAXIMUM CIVIL PENALTY AGAINST THE COMPLAINANT (ME). THE COMPLAINANT FAILED TO APPEAR. WHAT IF SOMETHING HAD HAPPENED-WE WENT TO EVERY FOI HEARING-ALL FOUR WE HAD-WE SHOWED UP. I SENT SEVERAL PAGES OF EVIDENCE IN –WHY WOULDN’T GO UNLESS SOMETHING HAPPENED? AND I WON ALL THREE OF MINE-D LOST THE ONE HE HAD. YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO WIN AGAINST A MUNICIPALITY? AND I EVEN WON AGAINST CHRO-ITS STILL ON LINE.

BUT SOME PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES-IT IS TROUBLE-FOR THOSE PEOPLE AND THERE SOME FAMILY MEMBERS WHO JUDGE-LOOK AT YOURSELVES-BECAUSE YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO HEAR IN A CERTAIN TOWN IN WHICH I AM VERY RESPECTED-ITS EMBARRASSING. I FEEL LIKE PETER-HAVING TO DENY KNOWING CHRIST.

THE FOLLOWING ORDER BY THE COMMISSION IS HEREBY RECOMMENDED ON THE BASIS OF THE RECORD CONCERNING THE ABOVE-CAPTIONED COMPLAINT:

  1. THE COMPLAINT IS DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE FOR FAILURE TO PROSECUTE. (EDITORS NOTE-CAN’T BE REOPENED)
  2. THE COMMISSION IN ITS DISCRETION DECLINES TO CONSIDER THE IMPOSITION OF A CIVIL PENALTY AGAINST THE COMPLAINANTS IN THIS CASE, THERE HAVING BEEN NO PREVIOUS NOTICE TO THE COMPLAINANTS THAT SUCH A PENALTY WAS AT ISSUE.

WELL,  THE COMMISSION WILL CONSIDER THIS MATTER FOR DISPOSITION AT ITS MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, FEB. 24. NOW READING WHAT I JUST DID-I AM GOING NOW TO CONTEST THE FINDING BASED ON MY MISTAKE. THE NO SHOW WAS NOT ON PURPOSE AND IT WASN’T TO GET THE TOWN IN TROUBLE-IT WAS TO FIND OUT WHAT CAN OR CANNOT BE REDACTED ON EMAILS-THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN BENEFICIAL TO ALL MUNICIPALITIES. IT WAS ALSO TO ENSURE THE TOWN WASN’T BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I AM SURE THEY FOUND PEOPLE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE EMAILS. AND I ASKED TO SEE THE EMAILS, I DIDN’T COPIES SO WHAT WAS THIS “CHARGE”. THAT IMO WAS TO DISCOURAGE ME FROM SEEING THE EMAILS.

TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT TO IMPLEMENT THE “HAWK” TRAFFIC CROSSING SIGNAL ON WEST MAIN ST. WELL WHAT ABOUT JARVIS STREET? THE TRAFFIC, ESPECIALLY AROUND 3 P.M. IS JUST AS BAD. AND ADDING TO THE PROBLEM IS NO SIDEWALKS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE STREET.

HERE IS AN ARTICLE ABOUT THE HAWK SYSTEM WHICH THEY SAID WORKS BUT THEY DID BRING UP SOME ISSUES WORTH NOTING. THE POLICE WITH THE TOWN SHOULD DO A PSA EXPLAINING HOW THIS SYSTEM WORKS.

CLICK HERE

I CAN’T EVEN BELIEVE THAT HYPE EXPLANATION ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CHESHIRE ACADEMY. ITS TOO BAD THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN CHESHIRE CT CAN NEVER FIND OUT THE TRUTH-I WILL FIND OUT AS I DID WITH THAT OTHER INCIDENT –AND I HAD SOMEONE TELL ME ON THE RECORD-THE SECOND TIME AROUND ABOUT THAT INCIDENT THAT IS WHY I RAN IT PUBLICALLY. OTHERWISE ALL OFF THE RECORD STAYS OFF AND IS NOT PUBLISHED.

THEY WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN CALLING DEEP IN FOR GASOLINE IN AN ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY THE MYSTERY SUBSTANCE-GAS HAS A VERY DISTINCT SMELL. NO PROBLEMS “IDENTIFYING IT” THE STUDENT PROBABLY WAS GOING TO BURN DOWN THE DORM-WHO KNOWS-OR BLOW SOMETHING UP. BUT WE WILL NEVER KNOW FROM THE MAINSTREAM AND THE PRESS DOESN’T HAVE SOURCES ANYMORE SO WHAT GOOD ARE THEY HALF THE TIME. YOU CAN’T RELY ON THE HORSES MOUTH AND THAT IS WHAT THEY DO.

ALSO-I LOVE THE WAY THE SCORN PEOPLE WHO DISAGREE WITH THEM-BUT USE THEIR IDEAS YEARS LATER-THE IDEA OF USING OLD PATROL CARS AT WORK ZONES-WAS D’S IDEA A FEW YEARS AGO-HE PUBLICALLY TOLD THE COUNCIL ABOUT IT-THE COPS JUST DECIDED TO “RENT” THE CAR OUT-I JUST WANTED YOU ALL TO KNOW THAT.

MY GIRLFRIEND IS HERE FROM KANSAS. SHE DROVE. SO SHE WILL BE HERE WITH ME FOR A MONTH. IT IS SO GOOD SHE IS HERE.  MY GIRLFRIEND ALWAYS HAD A GUN. SHE CARRIES a .357 MAGNUM EVERYWHERE. I ASKED THE CPD AND THEY SAID SHE COULDN’T CARRY IT HERE WITHOUT A PERMIT.

UNFORTUNATELY SHE DIDN’T REALIZE THAT SHE CAN’T CARRY IT IN CONNECTICUT. SO SHE IS LEAVING IT AT MY HOUSE WHEN WE TRAVEL. IN KANSAS, YOU DON’T NEED A PERMIT TO CARRY CONCEALED OR OPEN-AND YOU CAN CARRY IN YOUR CAR-YOU DON’T HAVE TO REGISTER THE GUN EITHER. THE ONLY TIME YOU CAN’T CARRY A WEAPON IS IF SOMEONE IN A PUBLIC BUILDING OR MUNICIPAL BUILDING HAS A SIGN PROHIBITING THE GUN OR TELLS YOU NOT TO ENTER WITH THE GUN. YOU CAN CARRY AT K-STATE-BUT NOT INTO THE CAMPUS BUILDINGS. YOU CAN CARRY IN THE DORMS.  WHEN SHE LEAVES, SHE HAS TO PUT THE GUN IN HER SUITCASE IN THE TRUNK WHICH SHE DID AFTER SHE LEFT KANSAS. SHE IS NOT A CRIMINAL AND SHE IS VERY QUIET AND CONSERVATIVE AND RESPECTS THE LAW.

IT IS FINE-THAT IS HOW CT IS-BUT ITS LIKE GOING TO CT FROM ANOTHER STATE IN YOUR CAR AND HAVING TO TEMPORARILY REGISTER YOUR CAR THERE OR GO TO THE EMISSIONS TEST. WHATEVER.

JAN 26-MEDIA REPORTING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL INVESTIGATION AT CHESHIRE ACADEMY. OH WHAT WAS IT– CAKE FLOUR –LIKE THE LAST “HAZARDOUS” INCIDENT?

CHESHIRE ACADEMY-IT WAS GASOLINE THAT WAS THE HAZARDOUS MATERIAL. GASOLINE IN ITSELF AS YOU KNOW DOESN’T EXPLODE OR IGNITE-IF YOU LIGHT A MATCH AND DROP IT IN THE GAS CONTAINER THE MATCH WILL GO OUT-ITS THE VAPORS. ALL THIS DRAMA-DEEP THE FIRE DEPT. THE POLICE-BOY EVERYONE IS AN ACTOR TODAY. YEARS AGO-THEY WOULD HAVE TOOK THE GASOLINE AWAY AND PUNISHED THE STUDENT. IT WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN BREAKING NEWS LIKE TODAY BECAUSE THE NEWS MEDIA DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO GET A STORY-THEY WAIT FOR  STORY TO HAPPEN.

I JUST WAS TOLD THAT IN BRIDGEPORT CT THE PLOW DRIVERS CAN’T BLOCK YOUR DRIVEWAY WITH SNOW-THEY HAVE TO LIFT THE BLADE. I LIVED IN BPT AND NEVER HEARD OF THIS. WILL HAVE TO FIND OUT. SPEAKING OF SNOW PLOWS-THIS SNOW PLOW DRIVER IN BOSTON GOT FIRED FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO OF HIM BURYING CARS WITH SNOW AND PLOWING IN DRIVEWAYS.

OUR PLOW DRIVERS IN CHESHIRE CT DO A GREAT JOB. I LOVE THEM TO DEATH.

OMG LOL-THIS IS PATHETIC-HOW MUCH MONEY DID CHESHIRE CT SPEND ON “NEW” EQUIPMENT FOR CHANNEL 14-THE TOWN GOVERNMENT CHANNEL? DOES ANY ONE ON THE COUNCIL LIKE NOTICE THIS?

I’M SORRY BUT I CAN’T STOP LAUGHING I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES-AND THEN I HAVE TO GIVE MY TWO CENTS GOD ALMIGHTY SHUT UP DON CORLEONE. JEEZ WHAT A DISASTER.  OH STRATFORD’S MILL RATE IS 31 PAL AND THEY HAVE ALMOST 60,000 PEOPLE. BUT THEY HAVE COMMERCIAL AND RETAIL DEVELOPMENT. GET WITH THE PROGRAM CHESHIRE CT. WHAT I MEANT TO SAY ABOUT JAPAN IS THAT THEY HAVE TO IMPORT MOST OF THEIR GOODS-THEY HAVE LIMITED NATURAL RESOURCES-DUH-THEY ARE NOT IMPORTING THEIR NATURAL RESOURCES.

This needs to happen in Cheshire,CT. There have been some people who have posted on other threads that they had video surveillance of home burglaries which were not viewed by the Police. The Police need to obtain the videos and post them to the news media as is regularly done in Bridgeport CT. In fact, the Police there said they arrested the person wearing the red shirt-he is a student at a local high school. People may know who the burglars are if they see videos or photos. That is the right thing to do.

I did want to say the proposal by the Cheshire CT police for “renting” out their patrol cars to contractors to raise additional money for the Dept. raises some questions–like what about the Gift Account Money–what are they doing with the $150,000 plus dollars they receive every year?  The last time I checked (last year), the Gift Account balance was over $1 million. And, if the Police can free up all these cruisers, what are they patrolling in?  They should be patrolling in marked cars in the neighborhoods to prevent all these house burglaries that are occurring during the day. The Police have a contract to do extra duty on the State roads. There isn’t much traffic on a side road, so I don’t see the sense for a rented out patrol car to be used. These companies can use people (who need work), to direct the traffic using those lollipop sticks which say “STOP” or “GO” and this is very effective and very visual.

It doesn’t make sense–they need more patrol officers but they can spare their patrol cars for extra duty sites. And what happens when they get damaged from someone running into them. I wish this police chief would make up his mind on how he wants to run the Department. Other towns don’t get a quarter of a million dollar donation EVERY YEAR. Cheshire Police do.  The Town Council needs to keep this in mind.

Here is the answer I received from the Cheshire CT Police Chief regarding the “renting’ of the police cars to Contractors:

When contractors call to hire police officers for Extra Duty Jobs, they frequently ask if the officer can bring a marked cruiser. Currently, we do not allow officers to take a cruiser to job sites unless they are working on a major roadway, working at night, or if the contractor is going to be moving around to different job sites. When we do allow the officer to take the cruiser under those circumstances, we do not charge any extra fees to the contractor.

Many towns in this area and around the state have a process established where they allow the contractor to pay an extra fee so that the officer can bring a marked cruiser to the job site. In some towns, it generates substantial revenue for the general fund or a special revenue fund related to vehicle costs. I am proposing that we try it and see if we generate revenue.

The cruiser will only go out with a police officer; the contractor cannot call and just have the cruiser parked at their work site. As always, in the event of an emergency, the cruiser and the officer could leave the job site. However, the contractor is paying for both the officer and the cruiser with the expectation that they will be receiving traffic control and site security. I do not believe that insurance will go up.

As you know I didn’t go to the FOI hearing regarding the emails. I didn’t read the entire notice and didn’t see the date of the Show Cause Hearing which was Dec. 14, 2015. I am not going to follow through, BUT that could change. It depends on the other side. I am staying away from them and keeping a low profile, I expect them to do the same. I don’t blame anyone for being upset with this Town, I don’t.

I was assured by the Town Government that all emails are being monitored. I hope they are. And as far as having a marked crosswalk on Rt. 10 near Dragon Buffet, all I know is a meeting took place between Cheshire CT and the State but I don’t know the outcome. Hopefully they came to an agreement. I will be doing more on Facebook, so keep that in mind. I am not going totally away, just toning it down the way the blog originally was 14 years ago. I got too personally involved and that was wrong and I let my emotions and frustrations get in the way and I started to turn into a hateful, vindictive person that didn’t trust. But now I learned these people aren’t worth getting upset over. There are other things in life worth getting upset over-and it isn’t them.

I actually feel better about not concentrating on this blog that much anymore. D is retiring soon after 40 years with the DOL (well that is the plan), and then we will be getting on with our lives.  Everything comes to an end sooner or later and after 14 continuous years, I guess it is time for this to end also.

When I attended a Town Council meeting in Wallingford recently, a resident who speaks all the time-she attends every Council meeting twice a month and speaks out-said something really interesting. She said that some people serve their community by getting elected to various Boards and Commissions, some by attending Board and Commission meetings and speaking at the Public Comments and still others by watching on Television. This is true. D and I only tried to do what was best for the Town and I know there were times it was tempestuous and there were hard feelings, but the bottom line was that we cared about our community. But because I said things and ran information the Town Government didn’t like, I was scorned and put down for it. The woman who spoke at the Wallingford Town Council meeting recently also said that she felt Wallingford was a COMMUNITY filled with people who care. And it’s true-there are always dozens of people at the C0uncil meetings, Planning & Zoning and the other Commissions I transcribe for. People get involved and they are allowed to speak even if there is no “Public Hearing” or no Public Comment. I always hear the Chairman of the Council, ZBA, or Planning & Zoning say: “I know this isn’t a public hearing or an item for public comment, but does anyone have a comment to make on this item?”

They entertain public comment ALL THE TIME. And I have never heard anyone being interrupted because they didn’t like what was being said, and the same people get up several times in one meeting to speak and it isn’t discouraged. I have heard people speak for a half hour and they are listened to.

What is the problem in Cheshire, CT?  We also have tons of available commercial land on RT. 10 north near 691-why isn’t this land being sold to developers? Why isn’t this being pursued. One problem is the 50,000 sq. footage limit which in my opinion, discourages developers. Look, Cheshire doesn’t have to be the Boston Post Road, but they could be a tad more aggressive in this area. When other towns, even Meriden and Wallinford, have active plans for their POCD-(Plan of Conservation and Development) with Incentive Housing Zones and DA-District Overlay Zones which will attract businesses, Cheshire flounders around. The ball is being dropped and someday soon, Cheshire CT will regret it. They will regret not putting a lid on Police overtime, or giving the store away at these union negotiations (especially the Police). Mandatory staffing is not needed-they can at least cut the “mandatory” by one person. If one doesn’t show up for a shift-let it go. They keep saying crime is going down, then why did they hire two more officers? Officers to patrol up and down RT 10 giving out traffic tickets when people are posting on other threads about their homes being burglarized during the day. Other posters have expressed frustration over having surveillance video of some of the burglars, and the Police not interested in viewing the videos. Others have also asked, why the Police in this Town don’t patrol the neighborhoods and why there aren’t more detectives hired instead of patrol officers. To me it isn’t prudent to have 48 people handing out traffic tickets on RT. 10 when there are housebreaks and burglaries all over Town.

And there should be no police officers on the dispatch. Hire more dispatchers-it makes economic sense. All incidents should have a report written. They aren’t doing this here and the calls aren’t being logged correctly, especially when a Police Officer is at the dispatch-it is just logged “general complaints”. Well, what is “GENERAL” Why not break it into “burglary complaint” Assault complaint”–and so on. You know why-so Cheshire can be the “safest Town in America” that is why. NO TRY TELLING THE TRUTH. ORANGE CT DOES IT. GO LOOK AT MY FACEBOOK PAGE WHERE I AM RUNNING THEIR PRESS RELEASES-THEY AREN’T 14 PAGES, THEY GET RIGHT TO THE POINT AND THEY ARE UPDATED JUST ABOUT EVERY DAY. ORANGE CT IS THE MOST TRANSPARENT TOWN I HAVE EVER SEEN, INCLUDING THEIR POLICE DEPT. Cheshire, CT has that obligation to its residents.

So the question is-is Cheshire CT a COMMUNITY, OR A TOWN. That remains to be seen.

Thank you everyone who read my blog. I appreciated it. I always tried to help people, some I couldn’t help and for some it didn’t work out and for that I am sorry. But know if I was told something privately I NEVER betrayed that trust-ever.
