Developments

This photo was taken by a resident who wants to know what many of us want to know: Why is this BIG police gas guzzler being driven around. This photo was taken at the Cheshire High School.

A barrel of oil is nearly $130 dollars. This is just plain arrogance. The Town Government doesn’t care what you think and since most of them PROBABLY fill up for free, they have no idea what gas costs.

I am trying to get a photo of the other GAS GUZZLER the police department insists on driving-that Expedition, but I keep missing it. I had a good shot of it yesterday near the BP station on Highland Avenue but my camera malfunctioned and then I had to go meet with a client.

Now the request for the Police Motor Vehicle stops from the year 1998 to 2004 should be interesting. But, unfortunately this action had to be taken And to make it even better, I did not even request it this time. Other people took it upon themselves to request this information.

A NEW DEVELOPMENT: THE POLICE LOG REQUEST IS ON HOLD FOR NOW!! CHECK BACK ON THIS IN A FEW DAYS.

I personally would rather go over the information with the Chief or a member of the department, say what has to be said and leave it at that.

The person  who requested this information and who will remain anonymous on this site, is a former civil rights attorney who was asked by a unknown person to look at these specific years. I will be getting in touch with this person through another channel to discuss whether she wishes to proceed or have me look at the information and pass it along to her.

When people learn to stop LYING-stop putting words in peoples mouths they did NOT SAY, stop HARASSING, stop INTIMIDATING and BELITTLING, stop CENSORING; stop SENDING LETTERS and EMAILS and take it like an ADULT when people question, then this can be called off.

“Oh Dysfunctional” Well consider this: my daughter is receiving an award from CHS on Tuesday night; She has made the honors list just about every semester. She worked her way up from Special Education and into the mainstream HERSELF with our encouragement.

She has been awarded nearly a full college scholarship;

My other son maintained a 3.65 average and just received his degree in Interior Design and has been accepted into Paier School of Art;

Another attended Gateway when he was 16 while still in high school, and made the Deans List for two years; then received the Presidents Award for Academic Excellence.

My youngest son tested in the 99th PERCENTILE for Intelligence Quotient. This means he tested higher than 99 percent of his peers NATIONWIDE.

Sounds horrible doesn’t it??? Sounds like parents who don’t care right??

“Oh she makes big threats,” Oh really, No town government, YOU make the big threats-by censoring information, trying to prevent information from getting out to the public, harassing innocent people.

I hope the other person who is questioning the town government is ready for these people and their “tactics” as I have already warned this person. It is not made up, I have the letters and emails to prove it.

When you question, the power brokers will label you: erratic, irrational, ranting. Well you know what, it is better than being labeled a cheater, liar and a phony and an A–Kisser!!

In Other News: as most of you know, the town of Berlin has blocked the Very Intimate Pleasure (VIP) store from setting up shop on the Berlin Turnpike. Their location apparently is less than 250 feet from a residential area. Now the VIP owners have hired an attorney and they plan on pursuing a lawsuit. I believe legal fees incurred by the Town of Berlin have already topped $100,000.

The VIP owners, who are renting their space to a Fireworks Company, are claiming their First Amendment rights are being violated. I did some research and found an interesting article on just this issue.

Berlin restricts Adult Stores from being within a 250 feet limit of residential. but, I wonder if they could open up shop at the Shoppes of Cheshire?? Might be worth looking into. I am not going to link you to the VIP website, but I know you will type it in on Google and look at it!!

An Impass

Members of the “community” have contacted Undergroundtownhall and informed me THEY are taking the lead and have requested from the Town Managers office a copy of the Cheshire Police logs from 1998 to 2004. Well, I questioned them as to what specifically they wanted. I was told they wanted the motor vehicle stops. Why the years 1998 to 2004 specifically, they would not elaborate. But Town Government, take note: I WILL MAKE THE DECISION ABOUT THE POLICE LOGS AND NO ONE ELSE!!

I was told by these people that they put my e-mail address to be contacted. That is fine. Many of the Undergroundtownhall supporters including myself feel that this action is necessary at this time. Unfortunately, there is no repore at all between the Town Government and UTH. I thought there might be some sort of breakthrough a few months ago when I went to the Citizens Police Academy. But that ended on a bad note over that ride along “ticket” issue. Then I was supposed to meet with the Police Chief, but someone, I believe, put an stop to that.

But now the other side can’t be trusted and I am sure their side doesn’t trust Undergroundtownhall. It seems we are at an impass and the longer this mistrust and misunderstanding continues I fear the feelings will just get stronger.

Now, on to other issues. I found an interesting article about oil prices spanning over a 60 year period. With a barrel of oil now at $127 what does the future hold? Will prices go down? Can or will oil reach $200 a barrel? Can the worldwide economy support that price or will demand drop so low that the oil cartels will be forced to correct the price down to $70 or $80 a barrel where many people say it belongs. Or will the price correct itself and some people go back to their gas guzzling Hummer Expedition habits?

Now SOMEONE wants to know about regulating comments. I don’t believe in censorship but what happens when someone DARES leave a comment is that I have it set up where I can read the comment first. This is done not necessarily for censorship, but to ensure no one is name calling. That is why I had to edit the Underground Nation/PFJ comments the other day. To me, that is the best way to avoid a legal problem. Because what someone says on my site, is just as good as me actually saying it. So there you have it.

Double Standards

Cheshire has received many grants from the state and various other agencies. The Town has generously recieved nearly $1 million from the Connecticut Legislature to revitalize West Main Street. Cheshire may recieve nearly the same amount of money from the Legislature again for artificial turf to be placed at Cheshire High School. Yet, in New Haven, several homeless shelters may have to close because the state WILL NOT FUND. Can you believe it? I can. Sometimes you wonder where God is-why he allows CHEATERS, LIARS and outright EVILDOERS to seemingly get away with things that are wrong.

I keep thinking what would a few million dollars have done to Pleasure Beach? Connecticut’s only natural beachfront and as I have stated before, it rots away because it is Bridgeport. I am sure if Pleasure Beach and Long Beach were in Cheshire or any other affluent town, it would have been saved years ago!! You obviously can see where Connecticut’s priorties lie!!

I hope Cheshire gets as much grant money as possible, because time on that clock is running out–now more than ever!! (especially what I just read in the mail a few days ago). That is my new project-spending every waking hour-stopping that funding clock, Cheshire!!!

If you have been watching the Government Channel or reading Tim White Listens, you know the farce in plain English, the farce that unfolded regarding this Norton boiler incident.

They are so good at it. Putting words in peoples mouths that were never said. Intimidating people with threats. Making things appear not what they seem. Making people afraid to speak. Using any tactic to bring you down.

BTW: The Home Page post featuring Emerson Lake and Palmer’s rendition of “Jerusalem” was banned by the BBC from airplay because many Britons, who consider this song to be sacred, were offended when a rock group re-recording their rendition of it. Thanks for your inquiries into that.

Baloney Watch

The events with the Norton Boiler and the Municipal Gas use saga amongst other issues, just bring to light how far the people in power will go to 1)keep their power, 2) mis-inform the American people; and 3) be defensive and arrogant about it at the same time.

Here is a GOOD example of power abuse, mis-truths and just plain baloney.

Old Fashioned News

I received some calls that one of the pages for the gas use for April (the police department of all pages) was not showing up. I looked at the first page-it was some sort of drawing error whatever that is, so to see the top page you have to scroll down and then back up. I am in the process of having my technical advisor re-scan the first page so check back to the link. The second page is sideways, sorry I don’t have a scanner so I had to rely on Staples, so please use the “ROTATE” button to see it.

Now I attempted to check the April figures against the March but I really did not have any figures. Besides, gas has gone up quite a bit in a month and a half as we all know.

I know there are pumps at the Public Works and at the Police Station so that is why you might be seeing the same departments twice. I have to hand it to the Town Manager, he apparently uses no gas from the municipal pumps or his car runs on water.
I thought the town had more than two pumps, not including the firehouse, but I am not sure and frankly, it was really hard to figure out what was going on with the figures, so take it for what it is worth.

In April, the Police Department used 2,506.6 gallons of gasoline at a price of $2.6161 per gallon for a total price of $6395.63 at the Police Department pumps.
OK everyone, lets use our ALLEGED skeleton password and go fill up at these bottom of the barrel prices. YEAH!! The price is right!! Only kidding–they get fleet rates.
I think several hundred of us should get together and get our own cartel prices. Sounds like a plan.

WE FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH THE SCANNED DOCUMENTS. SO GO BACK TO THE LAST POST AND READ THE FIGURES YOURSELF!! Don’t forget to use the “rotate arrows” so you don’t end up looking at the scan sideways and throw your neck out. Then you will have to go to Dr. DiRubba and get your neck snapped oops, (adjusted), like he is doing to me. (You know what, I probably shouldn’t have said anything about that because some of you might tell him to adjust my neck in the wrong place).

I was going to run the April Police Monthly Reports but I checked their website and see that it is up to date. I wish the Police would be a little more detailed about where (like what streets) the burglaries are taking place.
The cash register stolen incident is a perfect example. That was in the local media so we know it was Colorama. You put the information in, because believe it or not, someone might have seen something.
Now I will attempt to get my stellar speech in front of the Town Council on the boiler fiasco from my friend Tim White so I can constantly play it on the Home Page for all of my fans!!

Now-for all of you who did not  know what companies ACTUALLY BID on this infamous Norton boiler, here they are:

Here is some news from the office of Patti-Lynn Ryan to Michael Milone:

Pool Memberships: For economic and convenience pool memberships may now be paid monthly through automatic withdrawal from members banks. This benefit allows members of all incomes to enjoy the pool and to avoid a large lump sum payment each year. Further, for this convenience, the pool will collect two administrative fees: a onetime start up cost of $25.00 and a monthly administrative fee of $2.00 per month. This agreement with pool members was drafted by Murtha Cullina and is available to members whenever Park & Recreation would like to implement.

Purchasing Cards: Finance is in the process of implementing the purchasing cards pilot program for Town purchases. The cards offered through the Bank of America will offer flexibility for on the spot purchasing, travel, and internet purchasing that has not been offered before. Further, the Town will pay one consolidated bill to Bank of America due every 25 days which allows a 25 day float on all money spent. Departments will reconcile to their statements individually and send them to finance with ALL receipts. The controls/limits/etc. will be administered by Finance. If the pilot program takes off, further departments will be allowed to participate. Departments currently participating are: PW-all departments/YS/Park & Rec/TM/Finance.
WELL HERE IS ANOTHER FOI REQUEST IN THE MAKING FOLKS!!

Delinquent MV: Delinquent motor vehicle bills will be collected more aggressively. In the past, the Town would wait two years before sending deliquent motor vehicle bills to the collection agency. This new policy will help us to achieve collection rates but may cause an increase in phone calls and possibly complaints from the public.
