So before I get started, I just wanted to address a few issues-statements that I found out appeared on another blog about me-THAT ARE NOT TRUE!!

First of all-regarding the comment by “Bob” that I am a “rabble rouser” well, “Bob” is entitled to his opinion, but I don’t think calling attention to the homeless or people down on their luck and then getting mistreated by the police-BECAUSE REMEMBER-WE DIDN’T START ANYTHING-WE JUST WENT TO THIS TOWN AND SAT ON THE LAWN IN FRONT OF THE TOWN HALL THERE AND HELD OUT OUR SIGN THAT SAID “HOMELESS”

I DIDN’T KNOW THAT WAS AGAINST THE LAW-IT ISN’T IT IS CALLED FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND EXPRESSION!!!

NUMBER TWO-IF BOB OR ANYONE ELSE IS IN A UNION-HE HAS “RABBLE ROUSERS” TO THANK FOR IT!!

PEOPLE WHO WERE WILLING TO GO OUT INTO THE STREET AND RISK GETTING THEIR SKULLS SPLIT OPEN SO MANY WORKERS IN FACT ALL WORKERS COULD AND NOW DO BENEFIT FROM THESE “RABBLE ROUSERS” EFFORTS!!

Case in point-ever hear of the 40 HOUR WORK WEEK?? OVERTIME?? TIME AND A HALF?? VACATION PAY?? SEVERANCE PAY?? THANK THE RABBLE ROUSERS!!

Women can now vote, WEAR PANTS!! have their own bank accounts, own property, get credit on their own without HAVING TO BE MARRIED TO A MAN because these “rabble rousers” questioned things!!

Boy, I wonder what this person calls George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, Nathan Hale, Paul Revere-THESE PEOPLE MADE A BIG RABBLE NOW DIDN’T THEY-THE RESULT??

Secondly, I am NOT AN ANARCHIST OR THE ANTICHRIST!! You are giving me WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT!!

I am very conservative with my spending-in fact-if it were up to myself and my spouse-this town would be run as a very tight spending ship.

I NEVER vote YES on any referendum ITEM-NEVER-in the 25 years I have lived in this town.

This belief has allowed my spouse and I to send three children to college-ALL PRIVATE SCHOOLS-AT THE SAME TIME AND NOT HAVE TO TAKE LOANS!!

When you go down to the Town Hall and audit the Town of Cheshire’s cancelled checks that were written to see where the money was going-THEN TALK!! IF YOU ARE THAT CONCERNED ABOUT SPENDING DO IT-TOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS!! MY SPOUSE AND I DID SEVERAL YEARS AGO!!

And don’t think they rolled out the red carpet for that one either-THEY DIDN’T

I do believe the government, however, should help its people as much as possible-I do believe our health care system is in the sewer-there should not be ONE PERSON WITHOUT HEALTH CARE IN THE UNITED STATES.

The way this country pisses away money on stupid wars -we could VERY WELL AFFORD TO TAKE CARE OF ALL OF OUR CITIZENS!!

Will there be people taking advantage-yes there will be-but that is how it is-notice I said ALL OF OUR CITIZENS SHOULD GET FREE HEALTH CARE-NOT ILLEGAL ALIENS!!

And speaking of health care-I was running some errands on Wednesday before I went to work and came across this table or booth set up in front of the Post Office on Maple Avenue by Lyndon LaRouche supporters.

What gives with this guy?? I mean some of his theories are OK, like the belief that the bailouts should be stopped-I AGREE WITH THAT-WHY ARE WE REWARDING NEGATIVE BEHAVIOR??

Let these banks and these corporations sink or swim.

And Nancy Pelosi-I agree with the LaRouche people-SHE IS AN ARROGANT ASS!!

But remember-GEORGE W BUSH PUT THIS COUNTRY INTO SUCH A TAILSPIN-IT IS A MIRACLE PRES. OBAMA CAN GET ANYTHING ACCOMPLISHED!!

But what I did not agree with-was trying to link Obama to Hitler!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE??

I have a copy of a booklet that the LaRouche supporters were giving out entitled: “ACT NOW TO STOP OBAMA’S NAZI HEALTH PLAN!!!

This to me, is TOO STRONG OF A STATEMENT-ONE CAN MAKE THE POINT THAT THEY BELIEVE OBAMA MAY BE SACRIFICING THE HEALTH OF THE MENTALLY ILL AND POOR BUT LINKING HIM WITH HITLER DOESN’T FLY WITH ME!!!

I had the solution to the Health Crisis in this country-just as I have the solution to EVERYTHING!!

A person gets 12 free visits a year to any doctor, dentist, chiropractor, and after that-YOU PAY FULL PRICE!!

This would alleviate the hypochondriacs and money hungry doctors from abusing the system!!

Some of these doctors have my parent’s generation over a barrel in plain English-THIS IS ALL YOU EVER SEE IN THE DOCTORS OFFICES-ELDERLY PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN BAMBOOZLED INTO BELIEVING IF THEY ARE NOT CONSTANTLY MEDICATED-THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG!!!

And as far as my “candidacy” goes, I will go to the town clerks office to get the form and file for my write-in candidacy-then I will go knocking on doors.

I have a very conservative approach to spending-I will say what I believe in and stand by it-but this town’s spending, especially with this pool-IS WAY OUT OF LINE!!

Also, I will ask questions if I get on the Town Council-about EVERYTHING-yes I would have asked questions about the incident in July 2007-ACCOUNTABILITY BELONGS TO EVERYONE!!

I support our police department-when I have issues I speak my mind-but even I know the value of having a police department that has high morale.

I will not let poor choices go UNCHECKED!!

I WANT OUR POLICE DEPT TO HAVE WHAT THEY NEED AND HAVE HIGH SPIRITS!!

BUT IF I BELIEVE SOMETHING IS WRONG AND NEEDS TO BE CALLED OUT-THAT GOES FOR EVERY TOWN DEPARTMENT-I WILL QUESTION!!

Don’t like it-don’t vote for me-it is a free country (I think)!!

As most of you know, myself and several friends have been going around affluent towns with our “homeless” signs to call attention to people that the homeless CAN and ARE ordinary working poor-not just vagrants, and drug addicts.

Well, on Monday, I caused a big scene in Cheshire-especially with the authorities- who spent quite a bit of time driving up and down Rt. 10 “seeing what I was up to.”

On Wednesday morning-I had some free time before I had to go to work-and assembled a few friends and off we went to a very affluent Fairfield County town-I am not going to give the name because a problem occurred with the local authorities there and I don’t want nosy 500 Highland Avenue poking around!!

So at 9 a.m., myself and a man and woman friend decided to go to this “town” and sit near the Town Center with our “homeless sign”

Everything was going fine for about 15 minutes-then the police showed up-and THEY WERE NOT NICE!!

They asked us “what we were doing-and that if we were really homeless-why weren’t we in a shelter-and if we needed help to walk across the street to the town hall and they would help.”

The police told us that we were ‘distrupting traffic”and could cause an accident-so we would have to move (which we were going to do).

But just as we were going to move from the area-(and probably leave), one of my friends told the cops we were not really homeless-we were just calling attention to the situation-and trying to show that working people can be homeless.

Well, for some reason-this ticked off the cops that were there- (five) and they asked us for ID’s.

Luckily, I HAD my license on me-but one of my friends did not-and he got arrested for “causing a public disturbance”

Unfortunately, the woman I was with-NO NOT VALERIE remember her from Bank of America? got upset because the “man” that was with us was her spouse-did not have an ID either-started protesting that the arrest was illegal and stupidly started running back towards the officers and SHE GOT PEPPER STPRAYED!!

To make matters worse-I WAS STANDING NEAR HER AND GOT THE SPRAY-which really really burns. We both ended up going to a local walk in and having our eyes flushed out. NASTY.

My friend also did not have ID-she got arrested for interfering with a police officer-and ME-I ENDED UP LEAVING IN MY CAR!!

I did end up going over (after my eyes stopped burning and I could breathe again) and discussed the issue with the First Selectman’s office.

I must say they were VERY SYMPATHETIC-immediately contacted the Police Department to ask what had happened and sent a representative over to the Police Station to talk with the arrested party.

Well I know this definitely will end up in a lawsuit-because the conduct by the Police WAS OUT OF CONTROL!!

People in this country have a RIGHT to demonstrate-NO ONE WAS YELLING OR DOING ANYTHING-WE WERE JUST SITTING THERE!!

ITS TOO BAD THIS TOWN-WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY WORSE THAN CHESHIRE-DID NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT HOMELESS PEOPLE WERE IN THEIR TOWN!!

THEY MUST BE RELATED TO MAYOR BLOOMBERG IN NEW YORK CITY WHO IS ALSO TRYING TO GET RID OF HOMELESS FAMILIES BY BUYING THEM ONE WAY TICKETS OUT OF NEW YORK CITY!!

UNBELIEVABLE!!

Mayor Bloomberg claims it costs the city of New York $36,000 a year to help each homeless family and it is too expensive!!

Excuse me-WHAT DID THE CITY OF NEW YORK JUST SPEND ON A NEW YANKEE STADIUM??

THAT WAS NECESSARY SPENDING?? NO!!

Actually, though, I should not put Cheshire in the same category with THIS GOD AWFUL TOWN WE JUST HAD THE PROBLEM WITH-because I am sure the Cheshire Police Department-if they did not know me-would HAVE HELPED ME GET SHELTER IF I REALLY WAS HOMELESS-I KNOW THEY WOULD HAVE!!

It’s one thing to drive past someone several times-IT IS ANOTHER TO ACTUALLY ARREST SOMEONE FOR DOING NOTHING AND THEN PEPPER SPRAYING THEM TO BOOT!!

I KNOW THIS WILL PROBABLY BE ON THE NEWS-BECAUSE MY GIRLFRIEND WAS CALLING ALL THE NEWS MEDIA WHEN I LAST SPOKE TO HER!!

OUTRAGEOUS!!

And on top of it-because I wear contacts-my eyes really got red and I think they are infected-NOW I AM ON MY WAY TO MY DOCTOR BECAUSE I STILL HAVE THROBBING PAIN IN MY LEFT EYE!!

I know you were all following the Joanne Newton Pool story THAT EVERYONE ELSE DECIDED TO FOCUS ON AFTER I HAD THE VIDEO ON THIS BLOG!!

Well, Ms. Newton who resides in a nice residential area in Cheshire wanted to offer private swim lessons from her home.

She constructed that polycarbonate glass enclosure that I showed you in the post “DEJA POOL”

and she even put up shrubbery on her abutting neighbors property to cut down on the view.

I don’t know Joanne personally, but when I took an interest in the story a few weeks ago after seeing some of the presentation she made to the P &Z, I decided to go over to her home and speak with her and film it-which I did.

I thought she did a nice job and I also said I understood the neighbors concerns regarding possible noise and traffic-but honestly-I did not see a aproblem with it and BELIEVE ME-MY NEIGHBORHOOD HAS PLENTY OF IN HOME BUSINESSES THAT ARE NOT KNOWN TO THE TOWN!!

WHO HAS A POTTERY CLASS-WHO DOES AUTO BODY WORK-ANOTHER FRIEND HAS A TEXAS HOLD-EM POKER PARTY EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT IN THEIR HOME AND PEOPLE PARK ALL OVER THE STREET-THE NEIGHBORS EVEN GO!!

AND NO-YOU KNOW WHO-IT IS NOT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD!!

I guess it depends on the type of neighbors you have-I had a neighbor that had a videotaping business-which did not bother me-in fact I used their services–BUT WHEN I TRIED TO HAVE A DAYCARE IN MY HOME YEARS AGO-they were the first people bitching.

Well, that was the town also-these people were friendly with town goverment officials and let’s face it-at that time- I WASN’T GOING TO GET ANYTHING GRANTED TO ME FROM THIS TOWN-I THINK THINGS ARE DIFFERENT NOW-BUT BACK THEN-10 to 15 YEARS AGO-WE WERE ON THE RECEIVING END OF A LOT OF HARASSMENT!!

BUT THE STRONG SURVIVE!!!

These people don’t understand that I THRIVE ON THIS-I LOVE IT-I LOVE BUTTING HEADS WITH AUTHORITY- I LIVE FOR IT!!

So, to get back to Ms. Newton-her special application for an in home private swim lesson business-was denied according to the assistant town planner of Cheshire because the P and Z apparently felt that the polycarbonate glass pool enclosure that was to be “attached” to her home via a “enclosed vestibule” was NOT REALLY PART OF THE DWELLING-AND ZONING REGULATIONS STATE THAT THE HOME BUSINESS MUST BE IN THE HOME!!

Also, the P and Z (albeit two members DID VOTE FOR IT-I DON’T KNOW WHICH MEMBERS ACTUALLY DID), did not accept that a temporary barrier put up at the pool to make it look like only 25 percent of the pool was being used for the swim lessons-which is the regulation in Cheshire-no more than 25 percent of the home can be used for the business.

I did ask the assistant town planner why the glass enclosure was not located behind the house where it would not be visible from the street-she indicated there was a septic tank near the house so it was impossible to put it there-WELL THAT ANSWERS THAT OBVIOUS QUESTION!!

I feel bad for Ms. Newton, because it is unfortunate that here-a woman being honest- and going forward out in public with her idea was denied-with plenty of other people-in the low-being able to operate their home businesses because no one complains.

I am sure-Ms. Newton and her neighbors could have gotten together to strike up a deal-tried to mediate-but then again-some people are just plain dickheads!!

AND FINALLY-YOU ALL SAW THE SLATE OF CANDIDATES-SAME OLD STORY-NOW I AM MOBILIZING MY SUPPORTERS AND WE WILL BE OUT THIS FALL PROMOTING ONCE AGAIN-MY WRITE IN CANDIDACY FOR TOWN COUNCIL OF CHESHIRE!!

LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!!

There is an old song by the group U2 called “A Beautiful Day”

Well, that was the exact opposite of what I experienced on Monday when I was “homeless” for a day.

I started out in Cheshire early in the morning around 8 a.m.-of course I had NO CAR and NO MONEY even for a bus-so I had to walk-which wasn’t that bad except it was very very humid and in the high 80′s.

The first thing I did was to get in contact with Social Services in Cheshire-they were very accommodating-and gave me some insights as to how I would have to get in touch with different state agencies-like welfare and job services.

Then, I called 211 and asked for shelter-I told them I might have to walk if I could not get enough money by picking up cans-OF WHICH THERE WERE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN.

You can tell the economy is bad-there aren’t even any cans to pick up!!

So I was directed to the single adult shelter-run by the Salvation Army in Waterbury. FYI-The St. Vincent de Paul Shelter in Waterbury that shelters families WAS FULL!!

You have to remember, 70 percent that is right-70 percent of all Americans live PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK!!

This is why this ridiculous spending with this pool and other non essential show off items like the astro turf, and the track for starters-MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH-considering what I had to go through on Monday just to make it through the day!!

Keep in mind-people do this EVERY DAY!! I used to do it-and unfortunately, now I am grappling with flashbacks-I don’t think this was a good idea for me-I mean it IS A GOOD IDEA-but for me-it just brought back BAD MEMORIES!!

After spending hours picking up some cans-I did scrounge up enough money to get on the bus to Waterbury-but had to walk several miles to the shelter which is not really open until 7 p.m.

So for the next few hours-I went to air conditioned places-like Brass Mill Center-then was able to get back on the bus to Cheshire.

Once there, I got my sleeping bag and my sign that said “homeless” and proceeded to go out on Rt. 10-the first place I went was near the Stop and Shop Plaza more near the side of Webster Bank where there were some trees for shade.

Well, I swear to God, I wasn’t out on the street more than a MINUTE-when GUESS WHAT I SAW-YEP–THE CHESHIRE POLICE DEPARTMENT-two vehicles drove by back to back-one of them being that big gas guzzler SUV they still insist on driving-and to be fair, I see other Police Departments in other towns driving big SUV’s for patrol.

WHY??

Don’t believe the whitewash on the news-it is VERY distorted. Just go down to any Dept of Labor for a dose of reality-there is a security guard and A COP stationed there at all times now-don’t forget 15,000 people just exhausted their benefits!!

I would love to find out what will happen to most of them-but of course that is impossible.

Then about 30 seconds later-ANOTHER patrol car drove by followed by yet ANOTHER PATROL CAR!!

Now, I am known in town-can you imagine what would have happened if they did not know me and I WAS REALLY HOMELESS!!

I am sure I would have been “encouraged” to get off the streets as quickly as possible-as what happened to a friend who went to a lower Fairfield County town last year with her homeless sign-the police came up to her right away-and offered to DRIVE HER TO STAMFORD-to a homeless shelter because it “wasn’t safe to be on the streets in this particular town-(that has the highest per capital income in the U.S.)!!

GET IT!!

I called the Herald but of course do you think THEY WOULD DO A STORY ON A HOMELESS PERSON SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN CHESHIRE??

Doesn’t look right-doesn’t fit the bill-doesn’t fit the image-I will tell you one thing-when I sat down and pulled out that sign-I nearly caused a three car accident!!

People actually slowed to a near stop and stared!!

Why??

Because this DOESN’T HAPPEN IN CHESHIRE THAT IS WHY!! The homeless problem is somewhere else-people aren’t DOWN AND OUT in CHESHIRE-isn’t that true (to a certain UNION REP)!!

Then on top of it-I am sure I did not fit the “stereotype” of who SHOULD be homeless-bums, drug addicts- vets,trailer trash white chicks-blacks and other minorities-NOT A MIDDLE AGED WHITE WOMAN!!!

While I was out there-I wore reflective sunglasses so I could look at peoples reactions, without them seeing me looking at them-VERY INTERESTING!!

Most women-stared at me-and looked sad-most men (not all) just glanced fast and drove by-I actually had people walk and jog right by me-and not even slow right down-not even ask if I were OK!!

I had a couple of people laugh-but I really think it was an uncomfortable nervous laugh-NO ONE YELLED OR SAID ANYTHING THOUGH!!

I wonder if they talked about it when they got HOME-I hope they did!!

I am sure a few stuck ups that live in Cheshire called the police asking if they could get me off the streets-I AM SURE THAT HAPPENED!!!

A young high school girl and boy actually came up to me-told me they only had two dollars and were willing to give that to me!! SAYS A LOT FOR THEM AND NOT FOR SOME ADULTS DOESN’T IT!!

The boy told me that no on in Cheshire would help because he said the town was”heartless”

Strong words-don’t you think-for someone that young!!

He was probably right in a way-you see if it isn’t on national TV or out in the spotlight-most people can’t be bothered ACTING like they care!!

But in all honesty, I really believe most people were just caught off guard-they didn’t expect this-they did not know what to think-let alone stop their car and approach-probably not a good idea for many people.

I actually ran into two people-a black man and a white woman-who were waiting for the bus at the stop across from the Town Hall-they told me they have been homeless from time to time-it is hard-because many times you can’t stay with relatives and friends-it is too much of a burden-and I am sure the economic times are making people less receptive to taking people in.

When you are out on the street-you have to watch everybody and their every move-it is very draining. I felt really bad when I left to go home for the day-I thought about the people that don’t have a home-have to put up with the shelters at night-no privacy-little dignity-the stigma attached to it-then try to find a place to crash during the day-THAT IN ITSELF IS A FULL TIME JOB!!

But you know what upset me more-the Police Department that kept driving by all the time!! WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY THINK I WAS DOING?? CHRIST I WASN’T OUT THERE ONE MINUTE AND THE TOWN GOVERNMENT FELT THREATENED!!

“OH WHAT IS SHE UP TO NOW”!!

Yeah, I am probably one of the few people that don’t act like I have a stick up my ass-GROW UP AND GET A LIFE!!

That reminds me of the incident a few years ago when a homeless man tried to sit in the Cheshire library-YOU CAN TAKE IT FROM THERE!!

If the cops drove by me several times in less than a minute-you can imagine what this guy must have gone through.

In fact, the black dude waiting for the bus told me he notices the cops going up and down Rt 10 “an awful lot when I am sitting here”

IT FIGURES!!

I don’t know when I will continue this experiment-the Cheshire experience was very draining and depressing-I will keep you posted.

But it does put into perpective-how little our town officials AND MOST TOWN AND CITY OFFICIALS know and or care about spending priorities-

TAKE ANOTHER LOOK!!!

I have not been posting for a few days because of business, and my computer was conking out-I had to get a new one-so hopefully it will be better.

Now, as most of you know-the piss money away like a racehorse Cheshire-is at it again not only with these ridiculous proposals for the pool-but with these capital improvement projects: one of them being the resurfacing of the Cheshire High School track for $250,000.

ARE THESE PEOPLE IN TOWN INSANE??? THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!

Now as I have stated TIME AND TIME AGAIN-I AM ALL FOR SPORTS-I AM ALL FOR THE SCHOOLS-BUT WE JUST SHOULD NOT BE SPENDING THIS MONEY OR ANY OF THIS CAPITAL MONEY ON ANY PROJECT UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO THE WELL BEING OF THIS TOWN!!

ASTRO TURF AND RESURFACING THIS TRACK THAT LOOKS PERFECTLY FINE TO ME AT THIS TIME-IS UNNESSESARY!!

We need to be spending money on fixing up our schools-HIRING MORE TEACHERS-AND PURCHASING SUPPLIES THAT WILL BENEFIT OUR CHILDREN

Resurfacing this track is not money well spent at this time!!

I went over to the CHS track this past Saturday-I walked the track-I honestly, AND I COULD BE WRONG-but in my opinion-I DON’T SEE ANY PROBLEM WITH IT!!

I know the town surfaced this track with recycled basketballs-I thought that was a stellar idea, so if this is the case-WHAT IS COSTING $250,000!!!

I did notice some of the track was a little crumbly-and was faded a bit-but I really could not find a reason to spend half a million dollars on it-I COULDN’T!!

I took a photo-and this was of the WORST PART of the track-Please decided whether or not YOU THINK THE TAXPAYERS SHOULD FOOT A HALF A MILLION DOLLARS FOR THIS PROJECT!!

A few posts ago, I showed you the deteriorating condition of the front of the Town Hall in Cheshire. Of course-NOTHING will be done about it–WHY?? BECAUSE I POINTED IT OUT THAT IS WHY!!

Now another situation I stumbled upon was graffiti and broken glass in and around the gazebo in Bartlem Park!!

Also, boy am I glad I didn’t pay to have a memorial brick put into the sidewalk that leads to the gazebo!!

WHY??

Because it is practically overgrown with weeds!!

HELLO!! ARE YOU ALIVE OUT THERE THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS TOWN??

MOVE BEFORE THEY THROW DIRT ON YOU!!

Clean up the broken glass-near the gazebo that I almost cut my foot open on when I was walking over there on Saturday-spray ROUND UP on the weeds in the walk for God’s sake and clean up the GRAFFITI ON THE BENCH IN THE GAZEBO-SOME OF IT BEING RACIALLY CHARGED!!

Oh, I guess we will have to START CHARGING AN ADMISSION TO BARTLEM PARK NOW BECAUSE I AM SURE OUT OF TOWNERS DID ALL OF THIS!! (AHEM)!!

For most people in Cheshire, the title to this post is something that happens to someone else-someone you see on television-someone you read about in a news article.

But for me it was real-and will be real again.

Starting next week-I will be “homeless.”

I will be going to several towns-CHESHIRE INCLUDED-with my sign that says “homeless” and my sleeping bag. I will not be going to big cities-I will be going to towns that are middle to upper middle class-I want people to see that a homeless person is not a “bum”-someone that has their belongings tied to the end of a stick.

The sad fact-many homeless people are WORKING PEOPLE-they may have lost their job or jobs-fell behind on their mortgage or rent-could not pay up-and out they went-onto the street-into a homeless shelter-if it is not full-or of they are extremely lucky-moved in with a friend or relative.

Everyone SHOULD have a place to stay that is safe-THAT IS A PERSONS RIGHT.

Everyone who desires-should HAVE EMPLOYMENT AND THE DIGNITY OF EARNING A LIVING WAGE!!

I will be blogging about my “homelessness” but I will not be taking my camera-just words will do.

I did find an interesting “blog” from a person who was actually homeless-this was from a few years ago-but his writings are quite revealing. One does get a taste of how it really feels to be homeless-the hassle of finding a place to sleep that is safe-the humiliation of having to ask for help. It runs both ends of the spectrum-it is true survival.

That is why I found it totally shocking and insensitive that while the city of New Haven was closing a few homeless shelters, the former speaker of the Connecticut House was giving away over half a million dollars to Cheshire for artificial turf!!

Come on-look-I am totally for sports-I think the turf would look nice at Cheshire High School-I think our town should have artificial turf-BUT NOT NOW AND NOT THIS WAY!!

I will be more than happy to knock on doors to fundraise-the kicker-the town has to waive this $100 solicitor fee.

That is what put a damper on my spouse and I raising money for the fireworks-THE PERMIT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE-WE WOULD BE $200 IN THE HOLE TO START OFF!!

I know there will always be people that are down and out-that is life-but this town and other communities have got to start prioritizing-and artificial turf and this bottomless pit spending on this pool HAS GOT TO STOP!!

DRAW THE LINE NOW!! TAKE HOLD OF THE SPENDING-PRIORITIZE PLEASE!!

The Republicans in Cheshire-are hoping they will gain the advantage in this coming November’s local election.

Many of you NOT ALL-but many-have indicated they would like to see me run again for the Town Council.

Well, I HAVE DECIDED TO RUN AGAIN AS A WRITE-IN FOR THE TOWN COUNCIL IN CHESHIRE.

I am going to start a lot earlier than I did two years ago-I started too late-but I did OK. Then, I got tired and lost my focus-why?? BECAUSE I AM SHY-DON’T LAUGH-I AM SHY!!

I HAD TO SUMMON UP THE COURAGE TO GO TO PEOPLES HOMES AND STAND IN FRONT OF THE SUPERMARKET AND OTHER PUBLIC PLACES-BUT I KNOW I JUST HAVE TO DO IT-THERE NEEDS TO BE ANOTHER VOICE-I HOPE OTHERS RUN AS WRITE-INS-THIS TOWN NEEDS TO SEE MORE OF ITS CITIZENS INVOLVED!!

I hope to be successful-but-I am realistic-it is HARD for a write-in to win-but I will give it my best shot.

I am putting all my efforts right now into tying up loose ends so I can concentrate on the campaigning.

We will see what happens-besides, I have a ton of signs from the last campaign-ones I had made and ones people made for me-so I should be able to get a lot of visibility around town.
