A reader sent me this photo they took in front of the Staples store in Cheshire, CT of bird droppings. These can easily be tracked into the store or even onto the bottom of your shoes into your home. I take my shoes off before I enter my home, but many people do not. With all the money Staples makes, you would think they would do some pest control or contact the landlord for God’s sake. I have seen all sorts of birds sitting on top of the building and on their sign. They need to get these bird control spikes that I see in catalogs and online to control this possible health hazard.

Also: Windsor CT Police Dept. will be getting three License Plate Readers through a grant offered by the State of CT. They will also be getting a new police car equipped with the License Plate Reader from another State Grant. I know the Town of Cheshire CT just PAID for a new cruiser out of the Gift Account at an approximate cost of $24,000. THEY COULD HAVE GOTTEN THE CAR FOR FREE-AND HAD A LICENSE PLATE CAMERA READER INSTALLED TO BOOT. Apparently, the cameras can scan your license plate from both sides of the road and even when it is parked on the side of a street-NOTICE- NOT FROM A PRIVATE PARKING LOT!
The information is sent to a STATE OF CT DATABASE WHICH DETERMINES WHETHER OR NOT THE CAR REGISTRATION IS VALID AND OR THE CAR IS STOLEN OR BOTH.
THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT DOES NOT NEED TO SQUANDER HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON THIS NEW COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. THE STATE OF CT WILL DO IT FOR YOU.

ALSO, APPARENTLY THE TOWN OF WINDSOR CT IS ALSO DOING THE CHIPPING OF THE BRUSH AND STUMPS FROM THE OCTOBER WINTER STORM. COST FOR PICKING UP, DELIVERING AND CHIPPING-$70,000. AND THEY HIRED A LOCAL FIRM FROM WINDSOR, CT TO DO THE WORK ON A COMPETITIVE BID TO BOOT.
LASTLY, WHY IS THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE CT GOING TO PAY A CONSULTANT TO DO A FACILITY ASSET ASSESSMENT WHEN THE TOWN OF WINDSOR CT JUST DID THE SAME THING SEVERAL MONTHS AGO FOR NO EXTRA COST. THEY USED THEIR BUILDING AND FACILITIES MANAGER WHIT PRZECH. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE CHESHIRE CT!
