MENS BASKETBALL UPDATE:K-STATE (13) LOSES TO KU (2) BY TWO POINTS!! KU-81-K-STATE 79!! UGH!!!

I actually ran into a few people on Saturday and we spoke about this snowplow issue. Believe me, this is not the first time this has happened. So when I heard the horn blowing the first time the plow went up the street and I got up to look it just reconfirmed what I had already known.

Anyway, thanks to the Police Chief in Cheshire, CT., things are calmed down and back to normal.

The Town of Cheshire can access the blog FOR NOW. The Chief sent an e-mail to Mr. Michaelangelo, head of Public Works in Cheshire, CT.  Mr. Michaelangelo told my spouse about it. I don’t know what the e-mail said but it obviously drove home a point-I HOPE WAS-that when a citizen tries to file a complaint against someone or something connected with the town, WE DON’T BLOW IT OFF!!

We don’t tell the caller “oh contact the Public Works.”

That is like saying: “I am calling to report a house break.”

“Oh then contact the person that robbed your home”!!!!

We need to get rid of the “different strokes for different folks” mentality in this town which is out of control!!! That is all I am going to say about it-but it seems here in Cheshire, CT that if you have the WRONG SURNAME-you pay the price!!! Oh no-the PD might have to fly in that psychiatrist again!!

Now to switch gears-I happened to be going over some of the photos I took when I was in Italy a few years ago-unfortunately I could not upload them into the blog, the files were too big-so I ended up taking the photo I had and retaking it on a table with my digital camera. (This sounds weird but I wanted to prove a point).

You can make out where I am standing so that is all I wanted from the photo. The reason I am putting these two photos on the blog is because I actually found a video on Youtube of someone filming going up the 350 some odd steps (each way) the lead up to the Dome at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.

My spouse and I saw the Dome and thought it would be a great idea-When you see this video YOU WILL SEE WHY I ALMOST DIED RIGHT THEN AND THERE.

First of all-it is a spiral staircase. Second-it was something like 90 degrees the day we climbed. At  least the people in the video went during the winter!!

The last 25 steps are murder-the steps are cut on an sharp angle as they curve around-one can barely fit a foot onto them-then on top if it-the steps are SO STEEP they are practically at face level and THAT IS NOT THE END-THERE IS NO RAILING!! I am not kidding-NO RAILING. The person taking the video pans over to the left for a second towards the end-you can see there is NO RAILING-JUST A ROPE HANGING DOWN THE MIDDLE-PLUS THE WALL IS PAINTED SO IT IS SLICK. I WAS TRYING TO STAY AGAINST THE WALL-I DON’T KNOW HOW I DID IT BECAUSE I AM AFRAID TO CLIMB STEEP LADDERS OR STEPS!!

We had to do it-there was no going back down-because the down stairs was in another part of the Dome!!! WHA T A GREAT VIEW BUT THE SCARIEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE BESIDES LIVING IN CHESHIRE AND CRITICIZING THE PRIMA DONNAS!!

Oh well for what it is worth here are the photos (I hope you can see them) of me at the top of the Dome and the view from the top.

Top photo-Me on the top of the St. Peter’s Basilica Dome

Bottom Photo: View of Rome from the top.
