Here is a photo of destruction from the 7.2 magnitude earthquake in New Zealand on September 4, 2010. I was down there accepting an award from the New Zealand bloggers association for International Blog of the Year when the earthquake hit. It was horrible. Glad to be back in the U.S.

BREAKING NEWS: CHESHIRE CT FIRE DEPARTMENT NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!!!

WTNH NEWS 8 has a story on this. I would be a firefighter but I am afraid of ladders, NOT HEIGHTS believe it or not. I can’t climb a ladder to save my life. BUT I DO LIKE FIRES. I get excited when I see flames. Too bad or I definitely would have joined long ago.

Also: A good article entitled: “Are Baby Boomers Dying Young?” Something to think about. Our generation had so much stress-things were changing and not for the better. I knew many people in their mid to late 50′s who have passed away.  Maybe the article writer is correct-maybe we won’t have a Social Security crisis. I really don’t believe our generation will live as long as our parents did. This article states that in 2025 most Baby Boomers will be dead.

MY SPOUSE JUST RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL FROM MURTHA CULLINA THE LAW FIRM THE TOWN ATTORNEY IS ASSOCIATED WITH. I CAN’T WAIT FOR MY SPOUSE TO COME HOME AND OPEN THAT LETTER. I ALSO SUBMITTED MY DAMAGES TOTALING $8,000 TO THE TOWN OF CHESHIRE TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE. I GAVE A COPY TO THE TOWN MANAGERS OFFICE.

MY SPOUSE OPENED THE LETTER. INSTEAD OF RESOLVING THE ISSUE BY ADMITTING THEIR POLICE DEPARTMENT WAS WRONG, THEY ARE NOW GOING TO PISS AWAY AT LEAST $265 AN HOUR PLUS COSTS FOR AN ATTORNEY.

AND ON TOP OF IT, THE TOWN GOT OUR STREET ADDRESS WRONG SO LEGALLY WE WERE NOT NOTIFIED. GOD ALMIGHTY HOW INCOMPETENT ARE WE??? KEEP YOUR MOUTHS SHUT TOWN COUNCIL-IT IS REALLY WORKING.

OH READ THIS TOWN OF CHESHIRE-WHEN I TAKE ACTION-WHICH IS RARE-IT IS ALWAYS LAST RESORT-I WIN!!!

Now I don’t know how much longer this blog will be up, but again, I am having second thoughts about ending it-I guess its like abandoning your child. I only renew  a few months at a time. I really don’t get involved with Cheshire CT anymore because I am trying to put things aside and move on. Unfortunately, I had to return to Cheshire for this week because of my step dad, he is as we speak, being moved to a hospice in Branford. So I am driving through Cheshire this morning around 9 a.m. when WHAT DO I SEE?? A POLICE CAR PARKED IN CHURCH DRIVE!!! NO!! I DID NOT GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO PARK ON PRIVATE PROPERTY-YOU DON’T DO IT!!! You can say what you want about me but I ALWAYS try to resolve issues before I have to take action legally. I only take action as a last resort and as you know, I get the results I WANT WHEN I DO.

I called and asked the Police Department if they had permission to park on private church property. I was told they did not need it. Then I asked if Church Drive was private property. I was told it BY THE POLICE it was a town road. Well then I contacted the Town Manager’s Office to inform them that I would be submitting my bill for “damages” regarding this license debacle on Wednesday. I then asked about Church Drive. I was told they would look it up and email me. Well, that was hours ago, no email. Then, around 10:15 a.m. I notice that big Police SUV go up Jarvis Street and turn onto Lancaster Way. I happened to be in the car with my daughter on Jarvis Street and noticed it-I NOTICED IT. DON’T TRY TO SNEAK ONE OVER ON ME I SEE EVERYTHING BELIEVE ME!!! BALL BUSTERS.

ANYWAY ABOUT 1:30 P.M. I CONTACTED THE PUBLIC WORKS. THEY INFORMED ME THAT CHURCH DRIVE IS A PRIVATE ROAD!!! HELLO!! YOU ARE WITH THE POLICE AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT ROADS ARE WHAT??? OH  MY GOD!!! GOD HELP SEPT. 13th!!! LYING!! WHY???

I know I am not the most popular person in town but believe me, if other people resolved issues the way I do, we would not have  violent world!!! I am not afraid to confront people and you shouldn’t be either. I always wonder about that day a few years ago. Didn’t anyone hear what was going on?? My spouse always tells me he would have run over there with a baseball bat or something. I BELIEVE HIM!! On Monday afternoon, we were at Stop and Shop in Cheshire when we smelled smoke. We turned around and saw a small fire in the mulch that was put around the parking lot, probably started by a tossed cigarette. I started to go over there to stamp it out, when another person saw me over there and tried to help. My spouse ran up to a lady and asked her to call the Fire Deparment-SHE NEVER DID!!! We ended up putting out the flames and going over to the FD ourselves. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE???

“Oh I don’t have time, I could care less, let someone else do it” OUTRAGEOUS!!! I have had to see my “mom” struggle for several years with my step dad who has dementia, while still having to work part-time at her job and she is in her early 80′s. In fact, it got so stressful for her, she ended up in the hospital several months ago. She felt she had to keep him at home for five years or risk losing everything she worked for because the state would take all the assets because this country which can fund Iraq and Afghanistan and every other country under the sun, refuses to HELP ITS OWN PEOPLE WITH NATIONAL HEALTH CARE!!! AND THEN YOU HEAR PEOPLE MOANING ABOUT IT ON TOP OF IT!!!

One day I spoke to her and asked if she wanted to go out. She said she couldn’t and I could hear her voice breaking. She said she would never be able to go to Florida again but she accepted it. She believed she had to stay with her husband. I went home and that night I prayed to God to relieve her of this burden-to take this burden away from her. That was two weeks ago. It is a double edged sword because I don’t want it to sound wrong because I love Bob my step dad with all my heart I really do. But do you see what has happened?? Do you see what happens when you DON’T LIE, DON’T CHEAT, DON’T MAKE MONEY YOUR TOP PRIORITY IN LIFE, STAND UP FOR PEOPLE’S RIGHTS, CALL PEOPLE OUT WHEN THINGS ARE WRONG, ACKNOWLEDGE GOD PUBLICLY?? HE answers prayers.

Over the summer, when I had to walk to bus stops or just to get out of the house and keep from going stir crazy when I did not have my license, my daughter and I had to walk from Monro Muffler all the way home, at least seven miles. We had no ride, so we decided to do it. It was at least 90 degrees. We got to Peck Lane and we could not go any further. We sat down to rest when we saw a car pull into a driveway near where we were sitting. The woman got out and took her mail, and then came over to us. She said we looked exhausted. We told her we were walking because we had no car. She then told us to get into her car and she would drive us home. SHE DID. And come to find out, my daughter had gone to high school with her son on top of it. She even wrote down her name and phone number and told me to call her and she would give me a ride when she could. I couldn’t believe it because I did not know this woman from Adam!!!

On Tuesday, Sept. 7 I had to go to the supermarket. I went to Stop and Shop in Southington because I was in the area. I had cashed my check and started buying food. I got to the checkout and to my horror remembered that my daughter had taken my money to put it in her account and I only had $15 and the grocery bill was $27. I started counting change and then started trying to figure out what I was going to have to put back because I don’t use credit cards so I had nothing. I felt embarrassed and awkward because the store clerks were trying to figure out how to work the scanner so as to be able to undue what I had already scanned. Out of the blue I heard a woman’s voice. She said “I will pay the $6!!!” I looked up, it was a woman probably in her mid-60′s she said her name was Doreen. I NEVER EVER SAW THIS WOMAN BEFORE IN MY LIFE. I told her she did not have to do this, I will just do without and come back later. She INSISTED AND PAID FOR THE GROCERIES. I tried to get her address to send her the money but she would not hear of it. The store clerks couldn’t believe it. They were standing there with their mouths open!!! AMAZING!!! AGAIN!!!

When you don’t acknowledge God in the public as HE has commanded you to do, then HE will not acknowledge you in times of need. When you try to play it safe and “don’t get involved” when YOU KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG, then God will not help you. You don’t question this $614,000 in overtime, but question the cost of helping senior citizens in town who needed a tax break, YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!!

You don’t question (out in public) why three people burned to death, then what good are you??? You don’t want to “rock the boat” then the boat will be leaving without you in it. YOU LIE, you will the price in the end believe me. Out there showing off your compassion, but not willing to question the 86 year old woman taken from her home against her will. I am glad I stood up for her, I don’t care what happens. It was right and I have no regrets. Then the court dropped the charges against her son ALL THE CHARGES, but it was too late. The woman died ALONE in a nursing home from gangrene. She was not allowed to see her son for the three months she was there. SO MANY ACCUSATIONS-ALL DISMISSED!! My license was restored, the driving record ERASED IT IS ALL CLEAN AS IT WAS BEFORE JUNE 3, 2010. NOT A GOOD TRACK RECORD!!!!  STOP LYING AND EMBELLISHING OR TWO PEOPLE THAT SHOULDN’T MIGHT BE WALKING SOON!!!
