I noticed the town of Branford is switching from that Code Red alert system to Everbridge. I don’t know why-It just caught my eye when I went on their website to look up something. Maybe it is cheaper. I will try to find out and let you all know.

In other news: my spouse spoke to  Cheshire Board of Ed member Tony Perugini on Thursday night.  He told him that  instead of teachers getting paid every two weeks, an idea he had to save money would have the teachers getting paid every three weeks.

THIS WOULD BE PHASED IN ONE DAY EACH PAY PERIOD-MOVING IT UP UNTIL IT REACHED THREE WEEKS. THIS PROGRAM WOULD TAKE APPROXIMATELY 10 WEEKS  TO ACHIEVE.

This  idea would allow the 4.4 percent raise for another year, but would reduce the cash outlay for this fiscal year by almost 2%, which is half of the shortfall, which my spouse said is a good compromise, which is usually between zero and 100 percent.

Even though the teachers deserve it-the state of Connecticut is in trouble with the high teacher salaries lets face it. The town of Cheshire Teachers Union must have had a brain freeze with this 4.4 percent increase. WHERE WILL IT COME FROM??

We have massive unemployment and underemployment. IT IS SERIOUS!! WHO WILL BE PAYING THESE RAISES–THE HAMBURGER FLIPPER-THE PART TIME TEMP?? NO–YOU!!!!

Finally-I am again requesting CERTAIN INFORMATION from the Town Government regarding a certain departments expenditures, as I do every year. I will let you know when I receive it-probably next week. Now that I have a scanner, I will be able to scan the pages into the blog. No more typing!!

One more item: a reader asked if I would run that crash test video again that I had run several months ago of that Chinese car the Chery Amulet. ( I heard they are making Police Cruisers).

OMG people-wait until you see this crash test-I believe this is the one where the crash dummy’s head fell off. One of the comments under the video is great-they said the car should be sold in the dollar store!! (Caution-the caption contains a swear word!! SORRY I had no control over that.)
