As you know, I have been looking up some legal cases involving the Town of Cheshire. Some were justified. Some, as you will see below, in my opinion, were a waste of taxpayer money.
The case below involved two Cheshire Police Officers and the Cheshire Fire Department. The plaintiff, alleged his fourth amendment rights were violated when he claimed his home was entered illegally while the police and fire departments were investigating a report of a chimney fire.
This alone should tell you something.

 Now this next case is even stranger than the first. All I can say is that in both cases, the Police Department and Fire Department acted correctly. Read both and decide.

 I am not going to get into this bidding issue. But all I know is that the Town Government should realize that people are not stupid.  Now, at least because of Councilman Tim White, finally one set of mannequins on the Town Council are coming to life!! But you all know who stepped out in the forefront in 2003!!

When I was a reporter, and I covered Seymour, I can remember ALWAYS being inivited to the bidding process. The town opened up all their SEALED bids in front of the press and the public.

“Oh I know what the bid is, so now I will put my bid in.” NO!!!! WRONG!!

This is ridiculous. It is unbelievable. The town could have at least gone to the Union here in town and hired a journeyman plumber for what this is costing us now.

Cheshire, start getting like J.C. Penney, and start “doing it right.”
