I am reposting the Police Department Gift Account for 08/09.
Anyway, according to the Town Managers office, as of June 30, 2009, the balance in the gift account was $192,619.
I did receive the attachment for the Cheshire Ct Police Gift Account balance. TO VIEW THE DOCUMENT, CLICK ON THE DOCUMENT AND THEN HIT THE MAGNIFYING GLASS. HELLO!! I KNOW YOU CAN’T SEE IT THE WAY IT IS NOW SO DO WHAT I SAY!!

I did notice there were a few training seminars to “Roger Williams University” I hope it HIPAA TRAINING!! and Ice Cream for staff for $243 some odd dollars.
Also: the food must really BE GOOD AT OWENS DELI-$513 for food expenses!! NICE!! This must have been a holiday party. Also I saw $10,200 for a “five point blank drag” WHAT THE HELL IS THAT??? It must be for target practice I guess.
THE SCHOOL SYSTEM NEEDS THIS MONEY. OVER $950,000 cut from their budget when THIS TYPE OF MONEY IS AVAILABLE!!! WHY???
This must be eliminated or distributed to the ENTIRE TOWN!!
The children suffer and they( the CPD ) live it up!!!

I really don’t want the Fire Department to be involved in this-because I do not really question the Fire Department expenditures-IT IS THIS POLICE DEPARTMENT. HONESTLY, I DON’T WANT ELIM PARK TO GIVE THE MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE-I CAN’T STAND THEM-I WILL BE HONEST- I CAN’T. I CAN’T STAND THE WAY THEY ACT SO ARROGANT- JUST LIKE YOU CAN’T STAND THE BOARD OF ED-YOU BEGRUDGE ANYTHING THEY GET-YOU BEGRUDGE THE TEACHERS SALARIES-YOU DO WORSE THAN I. NO MATTER HOW LONG I LIVE I CANNOT FORGET WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME AND WHAT I HAVE WITNESSED FIRST HAND. NEVER!!!
AS I HAVE STATED BEFORE, JUST TRY TELLING THE TAX COLLECTOR IN CHESHIRE YOU WILL DONATE IN LIEU OF TAXES TO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM OR THE ARTIFICIAL TURF!!! BELIEVE ME YOU WON’T GET FAR. MAYBE SOME OF US SHOULD GET A RELIGIOUS TAX EXEMPTION SO WE CAN DO IT “LEGALLY.”

I know the Cheshire Police and Fire in December received approximately $165,000 from the Elim Park Gift Account. So, coupled with this $192,619 this is quite a bit of money.
This is money that should be put into the town coffers and saved for that rainy day that is just around the corner. No one department should have that much cash on hand I am sorry but that is how I feel and it is not personal.
Don’t complain about how Rep. Fritz got the $500,000 astro turf money for Cheshire. Start adding up how much money the PD now has to spend. Then if that is the case-their budget request for the next two years should be next to nothing-USE THAT GIFT MONEY!!
I still believe Elim Park should pay ALL of their taxes TO THE TOWN WHICH IS GOING TO NEED AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE NOW THAT PRES. OBAMA IS urging Government to cut
And speaking of a WASTE-I can’t stand that ass Nancy Pelosi-AND I AM A DEMOCRAT!! HOW ARROGANT IS SHE AND 59 OTHER MEMBERS OF CONGRESS SPENDING OVER A MILLION DOLLARS TO GO TO COPENHAGEN???

Why continue to rant about this? It's not going to change, short of a whole lot of other things happening. Several years back, the Town approached Elim about re-directing their gift(s) to other town departments and apparently was rebuffed.
While I would not expend some of the gift money as has been done, I am aware that there are a lot of necessary department expenses covered by the fund. These are items that should be funded out of the operating budget, so in that regard, taxpayer money IS being saved. Over the years the Town has come to depend on this.
BECAUSE IT BOTHERS ME THAT IS WHY!! LET ME GET MY TWO CENTS IN BECAUSE VERY SHORTLY UTH WILL BE GONE FOR GOOD. I AM NOT RENEWING WITH MY WEBHOSTER. I NEED TO MOVE ON AND I AM!!
