It looks like some of the pages have only one paragraph on them. Is something missing? Also-over $70,000 to “fix” their problems? Let us see what happens. In a way, deep down, I really feel sorry for some of the people on this police department. I said this years ago there looks like there is no direction here and that is basically what the IMCA said for $5,000. We basically have a good police department with a lot of potential. I hope this can be resolved-BUT NOT FOR $70,000!!!

Also, I did want to thank one of my FANS for his/her insightful comments. I know he/she really appreciated those videos on the four point throw techniques used by many police departments. I am going to run another one because they are so popular. When I read nasty comments I start laughing believe it or not. I mean no one wants to read comments that are directed towards themselves, I know they are directed towards me but whatever. I know Tim gets them also but it comes with the territory.
I received some calls from several residents who asked if I could get 211 to set up a counseling line over this incident. Many people I spoke with on Thursday and Friday told me they were frightened over the video some are having nightmares and felt depressed and angered that this resident was thrown to the ground. I will be calling the Governor’s Office on Monday to see if a counseling session can be set up. This video right or wrong has upset many people including myself so a counseling session may not be a bad idea.

Anyway, in some ways this town has become more open, but in other ways not. The suspension of the Police Union Rep in Cheshire SHOULD HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL-EVEN AS A COURTESY. AND I WONDER WHO WROTE THOSE EMAILS TO THE SCHOOL. I COULD JUST IMAGINE.
Now to annoy my FANS even more-ANOTHER POLICE TAKEDOWN VIDEO!!

Are you serious? If these people need counselling, it’s because they don’t have a clue about what really happens in this world today. Even you know that. On any given day, you can turn on the TV and see worse types of criminal behavior recorded on police cruiser dash cameras.
First of all, this incident was properly handled. What is really shocking is that a citizen acts in an anti-social manner in the first place, places the general public at risk by driving and having an accident, then interferes with police officers in the performance of their duties!

What do you think? The incident WAS NOT handled correctly and this is coming straight from an ex CPD officer. First of all, why was the person allowed to walk in the lockup without the handcuffs if he was acting hostile BEFORE he got to the police station. I was told by Lt. Markella they did not know how he would behave so that was the reason for the throwdown. EXACTLY!! Then put handcuffs on this person BEFORE he was let out of the cage. Secondly, the two officers after the throwdown LEFT HIM ON THE FLOOR FOR A FEW MINUTES ALONE!! He could have been DEAD for God’s sake or after he was sat upright-they left him unattended and HE GOT UP ON HIS OWN!!! HE COULD HAVE ATTACKED.
Thirdly: I act in an anti-social manner most of the time and I HAVE NEVER BEEN THROWN ON THE FLOOR!! FOURTHLY: FIELD SOBRIETY TESTS FOR THE MOST PART ARE INACCURATE. I COULD NOT PASS ONE AND I DON’T DRINK OR DO DRUGS EVER!! I CAN’T STAND ON ONE LEG AND CAN’T COUNT BACKWARDS AND I CAN’T DO THAT DUMB FINGER TOUCHING THING I HAVE BAD BALANCE. PLUS THESE TESTS DO NOT PROVE A PERSON IS INTOXICATED OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND YOU KNOW THAT. BESIDES-THE BREATHYLER THE CPD GAVE WAS INCONCLUSIVE!! THE ISSUE IS THE THROWDOWN AND POSSIBLE SERIOUS INJURY THAT IS THE ISSUE-WAS THAT NECESSARY??
