First of all, I did receive a few comments of my posting of the Call Log Summary of the Cheshire Police Department. As you all know, this was a groundbreaking event in this town and guess what? NOTHING HAPPENED!!
No businesses are closing and relocating-people are not selling their homes and moving out of town en masse.
It was just information-the public was entitled to see and they saw it-END OF STORY.
So the town will get used to it-because I will post these call logs again. NO BIG DEAL just part of life.
And we all got to see what our police officers do every day-they do go on a lot of calls and each one is important, no matter how trivial we think they might be.
I used to think the CPD was exaggerating when they would say they get thousands of calls a year-WELL THEY DO!!
Even though it doesn’t seem like “life threatening calls” every call could be dangerous-it may not be what it seems-so every situation has the potential to be life threatening.
I really did this to get the Town Government used to seeing information released to the public and that it is OK.
So I will run some of the comments I received over the next few days.
In the meantime-I guess this Swine Flu is spreading-like viruses usually do-IT IS A VIRUS!!
Apparently a Stratford resident MAY have the Swine Flu after returning from his trip to Cancun-
